Destiny 2 Vex Strike Force rewards, respawn time, and how to start: A Warlock wearing the new Neomuna armour and Pulse Rifle added in the Lightfall expansion.

The Destiny 2 Vex Strike Force is a completely new Public Event unique to Neomuna, added in the Lightfall expansion. With the incredible rewards on offer yet how troublesome it is to find and start the Vex Strike Force activity, you’re no doubt confused. Thankfully, we’ve got you covered with the Destiny 2 Vex Strike Force rewards, respawn time, and how to start this rare Neomuna Public Event.

The Destiny 2 Vex Strike Force Public Event is one of the hardest activities in Neomuna, showcasing the increased power of enemies in this destination. However, with the best Destiny 2 Titan build, the best Destiny 2 Warlock build, or the best Destiny 2 Hunter build, you’ll be able to complete this activity. This Vex Strike Force guide is based on our time with the expansion for our Destiny 2 Lightfall review.

What is the Destiny 2 Vex Strike Force activity?

Destiny 2 Vex Strike Force is a rare Public Event unique to Neomuna which sees increased Vex activity in the area and grants great rewards for successful completions.

Vex Strike Force tasks players with defeating powerful Vex units and various other objectives as a team before the time runs out, either with random players or a pre-made Fireteam given the difficulty of Neomuna.

How to find and start the Vex Strike Force Public Event in Destiny 2

The Vex Strike Force Public Event in Destiny 2 can be found in the Destiny 2 Vex Incursion Zone in Neomuna, a weekly rotating location. Once the activity is about to commence, it will be marked on your map with the standard blue and orange Public Event icon. You can check how long it is until it begins by hovering over this icon.

Destiny 2 Vex Strike Force rewards

The Destiny 2 Vex Strike Force rewards offer a guaranteed Exotic gear drop upon successful completion, alongside a Terminal Overload Key.

The most important and exciting reward is a Vex Strike Force Exotic gear drop if you succeed in beating the Public Event. There’s not any Exotic items unique to this source, but it’s a fun alternative to farming Lost Sectors for Exotic items. In fact, you can even earn the Destiny 2 Season of the Witch Exotic armor here, which offer great boosts to their respective classes. It’s also great if you’re looking to complete your collection of Destiny 2 Lightfall Exotic weapons and Destiny 2 Lightfall Exotic armor.

Another great Vex Strike Force reward is a Destiny 2 Terminal Overload Key used to open the Destiny 2 Terminal Overload Key Chest at the end of the activity. These can be quite hard to come by so it’s worthwhile completing Vex Strike Force when it pops up to earn a key.

Moreover, while the Vex Strike Force rewards are not the best Destiny 2 Strand Meditation farm, the Vex Incursion Zone in general does grant increased Destiny 2 Strand Meditations. Therefore, you’ll still be able to make some good progress towards the Destiny 2 Strand Fragments for taking part.

What is the Destiny 2 Vex Strike Force respawn time?

The Destiny 2 Vex Strike Force respawn time cooldown is around three to four hours, though there is still no official confirmation. Furthermore, when Vex Strike Force overlaps with Terminal Overload, there will be no Vex Strike Force events spawning.

To better keep track of the Vex Strike Force timer, there is a handy Twitter account that will post when an event is live called ‘Vex Incursion Network‘.

The Vex Strike Force respawn time varies significantly, with some players reporting having to wait several hours before a Vex Strike Force Public Event begins. This makes it quite hard to farm Vex Strike Force specifically as you’ll likely find yourself waiting around most of the time, though if one does appear on your map, it’s worth taking part.

However, Bungie did increase the spawn rate of the Vex Strike Force event shortly after the release of Lightfall, so players should have more luck finding the event now. This was noted in the ‘Reflecting on Lightfall‘ blog post, which also noted that the event will now drop a new piece of Exotic armor if you have any left to collect based on a knockout list. This has no slot limits like Lost Sectors currently have.

That’s all you need to know about the Destiny 2 Vex Strike Force rewards, respawn time, how to start, and more. Now team up with fellow brave Guardians defend Neomuna from a coordinated Vex assault. While you’re exploring Neomuna, there’s no better time to experiment with the Destiny 2 Strand subclasses and create new builds.
