Given how long and complex this quest can be, we’ve got you covered with a Destiny 2 Unfinished Business Lightfall quest walkthrough so you don’t get stuck.

A detailed rundown of the trickiest part of the quest can be seen below:

Destiny 2 Unfinished Business step 3 – Cipher qubits and Cloud Accretions

While the rest of the quest steps straightforward, Destiny 2 Unfinished Business step 3  will task you with collecting Cipher qubits and then extracting data from Cloud Accretions. You will need to extract data from five Cloud Accretions using the following process.

You’ll first need to get Cipher qubits, which drop when killing Vex enemies. The best place to get Cipher qubits is to head to the Destiny 2 Vex Incursion Zone in Neomuna as Vex spawn more frequently here. Once here, kill Vex and pick up the Cipher qubits they drop until you have at least eight of them.

Once you have at least eight Cipher qubits, you’ll need to find a Cloud Accretion. These are the planetary resource material for Neomuna. If you’re struggling to find Destiny 2 Cloud Accretions, be sure to equip a Resource Detector mod on your Ghost.

Collect the Cloud Accretion to extract the data and resources, consuming eight Cipher qubits per Cloud Accretion. This will progress the Destiny 2 Unfinished Business step 3 for the Exotic quest.

Besides Unfinished Business step 3, the rest of the quest is pretty straightforward and you shouldn’t have too much trouble trying to complete it. You’ll have to locate a data package in Maya’s Retreat, defeat more Vex, complete the Thrilladrome Lost Sector in Liming Harbor, and visit the Typhon Imperator. Once you reach Unfinished Business quest step 11, you’ll have to complete the ‘What Remains’ mission, sending you into a location we’ve not seen in a very long time.

That’s all you need to know to complete the Destiny 2 Unfinished Business quest, including how to get Cipher qubits and Cloud Accretions for step 3. For the rest of the steps you’ll just need to follow your quest marker, so make sure you’re tracking the quest from your quest menu. The ‘What Remains’ mission required for step 11 of Unfinished Business can be quite tricky, especially if you’re low Power.
