We’re obsessed with these custom Starfield Xbox Series X skins

Xbox has made a Starfield controller and headset, but not a console skin, so fans of this RPG are making custom Xbox skins for themselves and they're great.

Bethesda’s Starfield isn’t just shaping up to be one of the best Xbox RPG games we’ve ever seen, it could very-well be one of the best games of all time – when the release date rolls around – and using the new Starfield Xbox controller is going to be the perfect way to play it. But, what if you wanted to take things a step further? Well, Xbox has released a Starfield headset, but what about the console itself? At the moment, there’s nothing out there. So, fans are doing what Bethesda won’t and creating their own custom Starfield Xbox Series X skins – and they’re seriously awesome.

Showcasing a slick custom console wrap on the Starfield subreddit, Xbox owner ‘Andy B’, known online as ‘Limp-Chemical-8210‘, has created their own Starfield-themed Xbox Series X console skin and it really does look fantastic alongside the official Starfield Xbox controller.

As you can see for yourself below, the design itself adopts the rainbow-like Constellation stripe – just like the controller and headset – on a white background complete with notations for the console’s power and disc eject buttons. There’s also some faux paneling to mimic the annotated blueprint design of the controller and headset and it’s displayed on a white console stand – for added effect.

If you want to check out a few angles of it, you can below. There are some slight misalignments, but for a self-made design, it’s fantastic and does a great job of matching the theme of the official Starfield controller and headset.

Rather interestingly, though, it doesn’t sound like this Starfield skin is going to affect your console’s temperature at all. With the design iteslf being made up of individual custom vinyl stickers applied externally, and the ventilation of the console improved – if anything – by the white stand, it shouldn’t have any negative impact on performance.

If you want one of these for your own console, you sadly won’t be able to buy this specific design. However, online marketplaces like Etsy are starting to fill up with some truly fantastic designs not too dissimilar. This one Esty listing, for example, also sports the Constellation logo – one of the factions – in a couple of places, which is never a bad thing.

However, if you’re just more interested in the official Starfield peripherals for your Xbox console, you can find out more about them below:

If you can’t wait to explore some of the Starfield planets yourself, or you want to spend hours in the game’s character creation suite and ship customization menus, you’ll be pleased to know that it’s coming to Xbox Game Pass.

However, you should still look into the Starfield pre-orders available at the moment. There’s some fantastic-looking additional content up for grabs and you get access to the first Starfield DLC – which is never a bad thing.

Starfield is shaping up to be one of the best RPG games we’ve ever seen and it’s sure to be one of the best Game Pass games out there. With eagle-eyed fans uncovering more interesting details about this game every day – like the fact that your first ship will cost you 98 sandwiches –  the excitement for it is only going to grow in the coming months. So, we expect to see a few more sleek Starfield-themed Xbox Series X skins popping up online soon.
