NBA 2K24 MyTeam explained
NBA 2K24 MyTeam is a core mode in the series, and allows players to build their own unique team composed of NBA players from across the years. You can then compete against players online, across a number of sub-game modes.
MyTeam has now been fully revealed and players can be accrued either through opening packs, the revamped Auction House and player market, or NBA 2K24 Locker Codes, assembled into a dream line-up, and then taken into one of a multitude of online or offline modes. The team’s franchise and appearance can be customized, allowing you to stand out from the crowd.
The MyTeam formula hasn’t changed in years, and it has seen some core updates here thanks to player feedback. It’s clear that – like the EA FC 24 Ultimate Team mode and other gacha-based systems – it’s incredibly lucrative, and 2K is going to fix some parts of the game to keep players hooked.
NBA 2K24 MyTeam Salary Cup
The Salary Cup mode in NBA 2K24 MyTeam is a brand new multiplayer mode coming to the game which features three, two-week rounds each season. Each round comes with its own leaderboard, salary limit for lineups, and rewards.
This Replaces Draft and Limited and the competition has a salary cap to adhere to and more rewards to earn. Everyone’s squad should be around the same strength thanks to the salary cap restrictions, avoiding some of the struggles you would find in previous iterations of the mode.
On top of that, new releases in the Pack Market will feature improved odds for rare Player Cards. The Pack Market will also include more options for guaranteed pulls with fan-favorite pack types and more.
There are some concerns over the changes to the NBA 2K24 MyTeam Player Market here as players will be able to be bought using VC or MTP. While this levels the playing field a bit, it does suggest those who pay for virtual currency will have a distinct edge even with MTP earn rates being boosted.
NBA 2K24 MyTeam crossplay
2K has confirmed that NBA 2K24 MyTeam will have crossplay for the first time . PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players will be able to compete against each other or play with one another in Triple Threat online.
NBA 2K24 XP changes
XP has seen a radical overhaul this year with cross-progression between MyCareer and MyTeam. Just playing will earn you XP and wins or losses will mean you progress.
NBA 2K24 MTP upgrades
MTP earn rates for all modes have also seen a big improvement according to 2K, with more flexibility for everyone just for playing games.
NBA 2K24 MyTeam Season Pass rewards
MyTeam will also have a number of rewards included in the NBA 2K24 Season Pass. These are effectively NBA 2K24 battle passes and you can grab a ton of rewards for each six-week season in the year.
Everyone will have access to 40 rewards for MyTeam for free. But, with the Pro Season Pass or the Hall of Fame Season Pass, you can grab two additional rewards.
