As you can see the top players have been ranked for this year and Nikola Jokić comes in the top spot with a whopping 98 overall. Between now and the release we will be getting even more ratings for other players.
Overall, the rankings so far are as you would have expected with strong rankings for LeBron, Stephen Curry, Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, and the rest of the top players.
Nikola Jokić
Jokic comes out as the top athlete in this year’s game with a strong 98 score. His run on the Denver Nuggets is almost a decade long and after a great season, he is set to dominate 2K24. Expect to see him a lot in MyTeam and when playing against others.
A’ja Wilson
Wilson is dominant in the WNBA and her rating reflects this. She tops the WNBA rankings this year after leading the Las Vegas Aces to victory in 2022 and continuing that run with a stunning 2023 season so far.
Giannis Antetokunpo
The mountain himself, Giannis comes in with a strong 96 this year. The Bucks’ superstar has dominated matches and pulled in strong games over and over again. Expect him to dominate matches online with a rating like this.
LeBron James
21 years into the game, LeBron is just as strong as he ever is. Coming in with a mighty 96 rating, he is going to be one to watch when playing in MyTeam. Now a core part of the Lakers squad for five years he has cemented himself as one of the best of all time.
Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid comes in also with a 96. The Philadelphia 76ers player has been in the NBA for almost 10 years and is now at the top of his game. Standing at 7 feet tall, he is a force to be reckoned with after what was a great season as a part of the Philadelphia squad.
Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant needs no introduction onto this list with a score of 96. Now a part of the Phoenix Suns, he is hopefully going to lead the squad to some solid wins and turn the squad into a top-ranking team after placing 4th in the Western Conference in the 2022-2023 season.
Stephen Curry
The three-point perfectionist himself Stephen Curry also comes in at 96. After an incredible season, the Golden State Warrior himself will be a force to be reckoned with on the court in matches, able to dominate from the three-point line.
Jayson Tatum
Jayson Tatum has spent his entire NBA career with the Celtics and that has made him one of the team’s top players currently, following on from greats like Larry Bird. At a 95, expect Tatum to be a strong small-forward player in matches and teams.
Jimmy Butler
Jimmy Butler is a strong Heat player in the current team and as such comes in with a solid 96 overall rating. The player has had a good season and in his fourth year with the Heat, he will be another great small forward to have on your squad this year.
Luka Doncic
Luka has been with the Mavericks since 2018 and as a point guard solidified himself as a leading player within the squad. Hailing from Slovenia, his 95 rating makes him a great choice for any squad in MyTeam and when playing competitively.
NBA 2K24 Atlanta Hawks ratings
When it comes to the Atlanta Hawks, it feels like they’re yet to put the pieces together to really rally behind Trae Young and push themselves into the upper echelon of the NBA. A first-round playoff exit isn’t disastrous but the Hawks fanbase will be expecting more next season.
- Trae Young – 89
- Dejounte Murray – 84
- Clint Capela – 82
- De’Andre Hunter – 80
- Onyeka Okongwu – 80
- Bogdan Bogdanovic – 79
- Saddiq Bay – 78
- AJ Griffin – 76
- Jalen Johnson – 75
- Bruno Fernando – 74
- Patty Mills – 73
- Wesley Matthews – 72
- Garrison Mathews – 70
NBA 2K24 Boston Celtics ratings
A team that could (and maybe should) have won it all last year, the Boston Celtics fell to a Cinderella Miami Heat team in the conference finals. There’s no way to know whether they would have beaten the Nuggets in the finals, had they got there, but it’s not too hard to believe the finals would have been a lot closer if they did.
Despite sending Marcus Smart to the Grizzlies, the Celtics NBA 2K24 ratings see a slight increase following a strong season.
- Jayson Tatum – 95
- Jaylen Brown – 89
- Kristaps Porzingis – 86
- Malcolm Brogdon – 83
- Robert Williams III – 82
- Al Horford – 82
- Derrick White – 82
- Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk – 74
- Payton Pritchard – 73
- Dalano Banton – 73
- Sam Hauser – 73
- Luke Kornet – 73
- Oshae Brissett – 72
Brooklyn Nets ratings
The Brooklyn Nets went from having the league well and truly scared to being a bit of a nothing team practically overnight. There is potential in this new lineup that could propel them to a comfortable playoff spot during the 23/24 season.
Young stars and not-yet-established veterans must work together to find a winning formula and it could prove more efficient than their attempts to buy a championship.
- Mikal Bridges – 86
- Nicolas Claxton – 84
- Spencer Dinwiddie – 81
- Cameron Johnson – 81
- Dorian Finney-Smith – 77
- Ben Simmons – 76
- Cameron Thomas – 76
- Trendon Watford – 76
- Lonnie Walker IV – 76
- Royce O’Neale – 76
- Darius Bazley – 74
- Day-Ron Sharpe – 73
- Dennis Smith Jr. – 73
- Armoni Brooks – 71
Charlotte Hornets ratings
We can’t help but want the Charlotte Hornets to figure things out and make this roster work. It hasn’t quite happened yet but the 23/24 season could be quite spectacular if the league underestimates their quality.
This potential isn’t reflected in their ratings in NBA 2K24, but hopefully, come the end of the season the league will be on notice.
- LaMelo Ball – 86
- Terry Rozier – 80
- Miles Bridges – 79
- Gordon Hayward – 78
- Brandon Miller – 78
- Mark Williams – 77
- P.J Washington – 77
- Nick Richards – 76
- Cody Martin – 74
- Frank Ntilikina – 72
- James Bouknight – 71
- Bryce McGowens – 71
- J.T. Thor – 71
Chicago Bulls ratings
The news that Lonzo Ball will miss the 23/24 season does impact how the Chicago Bulls might perform overall but their fanbase will just be hoping it doesn’t trigger a complete reset with key players being traded away from the iconic franchise.
- Zach Lavine – 86
- DeMar DeRozan – 86
- Nikola Vucevic – 84
- Lonzo Ball – 81
- Alex Caruso – 78
- Patrick Williams – 77
- Andre Drummond – 77
- Coby White – 76
- Torrey Craig – 75
- Jevon Carter – 75
- Ayo Dosunmu – 74
- Dalen Terry – 72
- Terry Taylor – 71
Cleveland Cavaliers ratings
Cavs fans have plenty to be excited about heading into the new season but their lineup is far from complete in terms of being stacked off the bench, but they will still be a strong playoff team that will hopefully go further than they did last season.
- Donovan Mitchell – 92
- Darius Garland – 86
- Evan Mobley – 85
- Jarrett Allen – 83
- Caris LeVert – 78
- Max Strus – 78
- Isaac Okoro – 76
- Ricky Rubio – 75
- Ty Jerome – 74
- Dean Wade – 73
- Georges Niang – 73
- Damian Jones – 72
- Isaiah Mobley – 70
Dallas Mavericks ratings
Let’s just call the Mavs exactly what they are: weird. There is no way that a franchise built around Luka Doncic should still be without a meaningful push for a title. Throw in the addition of Kyrie Irving and it should have been a lock, right? Nope, they missed playoffs entirely last season and need to fix that this year.
The loss of Christian Wood makes them weaker when Grant Williams is his replacement but overall, the Mavs still seem like a team struggling outside of its guards.
- Luka Doncic – 95
- Kyrie Irving – 90
- Tim Hardaway Jr. – 78
- Jaden Hardy – 76
- Dwight Powell – 76
- Seth Curry – 76
- Grant Williams – 76
- Josh Green – 76
- Maxi Kleber – 75
- Derrick Jones Jr. – 75
- Richaun Holmes – 74
- Greg Brown III – 71
- Joe Wieskamp – 70
Denver Nuggets ratings
Back-to-back NBA titles have never looked so likely since the reign of the Lakers back in the 2000s. 2K hasn’t pushed Jokic all the way to 99, but he is as close as you get. After a downseason on his stats, he still has an immense stranglehold in the league.
This Nuggets team is still incredibly strong and the NBA 2K24 ratings push them into clear contention for being the best team in the game.
- Nikola Jokic – 98
- Jamal Murray – 88
- Aaron Gordon – 84
- Michael Porter Jr. – 83
- Kentavious Caldwell-Pope – 78
- Christian Braun – 76
- Reggie Jackson – 74
- Zeke Nnaji – 74
- Peyton Watson – 73
- Justin Holliday – 73
- Vlatko Cancar – 73
- DeAndre Jordan – 72
- Collin Gillespie – 68
Detroit Pistons ratings
Detroit is a team we would like to see turn their fortunes around having been the worst team in the NBA last year, but we don’t think that this is the season it will happen. A couple of strong draft picks will take time to adjust to the league and ultimately there are just too many better teams around.
Always an underdog, the Pistons could prove people wrong with some standout performances, but over 82 games we doubt they have what it takes to make a playoff push.
- Cade Cunningham – 84
- Bojan Bogdanovic – 82
- Jaden Ivey – 80
- Jalen Duren – 79
- James Wiseman – 78
- Monte Morris – 78
- Marvin Bagley III – 78
- Isaiah Stewart – 77
- Joe Harris – 76
- Alex Burks – 76
- Ausar Thompson – 76
- Killian Hayes – 75
- Isaiah Livers – 74
Golden State Warriors ratings
A healthy Steph Curry alongside Chris Paul making what is surely his last good push for a title could create a very interesting story for this season. If the Warriors can stay fit, we have them as one of the top teams in the Western Conference.
The NBA 2K24 ratings for the Warriors suggest no massive improvements but beware of this team that can dismantle any opponent on its day.
- Stephen Curry – 96
- Chris Paul – 85
- Klay Thompson – 85
- Draymond Green – 83
- Andrew Wiggins – 82
- Kevon Looney – 79
- Jonathan Kuminga – 77
- Gary Payton III – 77
- Dario Saric – 75
- Cory Joseph – 74
- Moses Moody – 73
- Lester Quinones – 67
Houston Rockets ratings
Dillon Brooks’ messed up last season and being sent to Houston was punishment enough.
A bad season might not get much better this year despite their strengthening through free agency and the draft. They’ll have been contemplating the idea of a rebuild after their attempts at buying a ring in the late-2010’s have left effects that can still be felt today, but maybe this starting lineup can fight those thoughts off a little longer.
- Jalen Green – 83
- Fred VanVleet – 83
- Alperen Sengun – 83
- Jabari Smith Jr. – 79
- Tari Eason – 78
- Kevin Porter Jr. – 78
- Dillon Brooks – 78
- Jae’Sean Tate – 76
- Amen Thompson – 76
- Jeff Green – 75
- Jock Landale – 74
- Cam Whitmore – 74
- Aaron Holiday – 73
Indiana Pacers ratings
The Pacers are missing a true star player to complete their roster. It’s hard to see any realistic moves they could make to change this, so instead they need to rely on the draft and create a strong culture with the starting five they currently have.
If the Pacers can push for .500 this year then they’ve had a great season.
- Tyrese Haliburton – 88
- Myles Turner – 83
- Bennedict Mathurin – 80
- Buddy Hield – 80
- Bruce Brown Jr. – 80
- Obi Toppin – 78
- T.J. McConnell – 77
- Andrew Nembhard – 76
- Jalen Smith – 76
- Jordan Nwora – 76
- Aaron Nesmith – 76
- Isiah Jackson – 75
- Daniel Theis – 74
Los Angeles Clippers ratings
Despite being in a division that is extremely strong, the Clippers project still feels like a failure given the talent they have and the apparent lack of hardware to show for it. With the moves being made around them, we think there is a realistic chance they struggle this year and would do very well to make the playoffs.
- Kawahi Leonard – 94
- Paul George – 89
- Russell Westbrook – 81
- Ivica Zubac – 80
- Normal Powell – 79
- Mason Plumlee – 79
- Kenyon Martin Jr. – 78
- Marcus Morris Sr. – 76
- Robert Covington – 76
- Terance Mann – 76
- Bones Hyland – 75
- Nicolas Batum – 74
- Brandon Boston Jr. – 72
Los Angeles Lakers ratings
LeBron James will naturally be the talking point when it comes to the NBA 2K23 ratings for the Los Angeles Lakers. His decline might not necessarily be so obvious at a quick glance at some stats (with the exception of games played) but his overall effectiveness has certainly reduced. However, he is still one of the top-rated players.
- LeBron James – 96
- Anthony Davis – 93
- D’Angelo Russell – 82
- Austin Reaves – 82
- Christian Wood – 79
- Jarred Vanderbilt – 79
- Rui Hachimura – 79
- Gabe Vincent – 79
- Taurean Prince – 75
- Cam Reddish – 75
- Jaxson Hayes – 74
- Tristan Thompson – 73
- Max Christie – 71
Memphis Grizzlies ratings
The less said about Ja Morant, the better. So, what effect will Marcus Smart have in Memphis? Well, while we don’t have a crystal ball to see the future, we do hope it’s a positive move and helps improve the franchise.
Then again, with their star player consistently crumbling under the spotlight, who knows what lies ahead for the Grizzlies this season?
- Ja Morant – 92
- Jaren Jackson Jr. – 86
- Desmond Bane – 84
- Marcus Smart – 82
- Steven Adams – 80
- Brandon Clarke – 77
- Xavier Tillman – 77
- Luke Kennard – 77
- Derrick Rose – 75
- Santi Aldama – 75
- Josh Christopher – 74
- David Roddy – 73
- Ziaire Williams – 72
Miami Heat ratings
With it looking increasingly likely that Miami has won the Damian Lillard sweepstakes, this team could be completely transformed come opening night. For now, we have to assume that Herro/Richardson is the way to go and that still looks like a very strong starting five for the Heat.
Some were surprised by their run last year, but we think they’re prime and ready to do it all again this season.
- Jimmy Butler – 95
- Bam Adebayo – 87
- Tyler Herro – 83
- Caleb Martin – 79
- Kevin Love – 77
- Duncan Robinson – 77
- Kyle Lowry – 76
- Thomas Bryant – 75
- Josh Richardson – 75
- Haywood Highsmith – 74
- Nikola Jovic – 73
- Justin Champagnie – 70
- Orlando Robinson – 70
Milwaukee Bucks ratings
It’s really hard to place the Buck this year and we feel that’s represented in the NBA 2K24 ratings for the starting five. A great team, no doubt, but there are lingering questions about the happiness of Giannis and what that does to this team in a worst-case scenario.
- Giannis Antetokounmpo – 96
- Jrue Holiday – 87
- Khris Middleton – 85
- Brook Lopez – 84
- Bobby Portis – 82
- Malik Beasley – 75
- Jae Crowder – 75
- Pat Connaughton – 75
- Grayson Allen – 75
- MarJon Beauchamp – 73
- Robin Lopez – 73
- TyTy Washington – 72
- Thanasis Antetokounmpo – 72
Minnesota Timberwolves ratings
When it comes to the Timberwolves, we can’t help but feel like they both underachieved and overachieved at the same time. It really is a franchise that just doesn’t register with us sometimes because we’re never quite sure whether they’re supposed to be any good.
Regardless of our issues with the Timberwolves, we predict a so-so year for them and it’s reflected in where their ratings predictions sit.
- Anthony Edwards – 88
- Karl-Anthony Towns – 85
- Rudy Gobert – 84
- Jaden McDaniels – 81
- Mike Conley – 79
- Naz Reid – 79
- Kyle Anderson – 77
- Shake Milton – 76
- Nickell Alexander-Walker – 74
- Jordan McLaughlin – 73
- Troy Brown Jr. – 73
- Luka Garza – 72
- Wendell Moore Jr. – 71
New Orleans Pelicans ratings
If Zion is fit and healthy, both mentally and physically, watch out. If not, the Pelicans might struggle to make an impact. Finishing just over .500 last year was a warning, they won’t get away with it again this time around.
The Zion hype needs to come good or else the league is at risk of losing another potential star through neglect.
- Zion Williamson – 90
- Brandon Ingram – 85
- C.J. McCollum – 84
- Jonas Valanclunas – 83
- Herbert Jones – 79
- Trey Murphy – 79
- Larry Nance Jr. – 76
- Jose Alvarado – 76
- Cody Zeller – 76
- Dyson Daniels – 75
- Naji Marshall – 75
- Kira Lewis Jr. – 72
- E.J. Liddell – 70
New York Knicks ratings
The Knicks finally seemed to figure out how to be successful last season, right up until they came up against a far more experienced postseason Miami Heat lineup. Given time, this starting five can make special things happen even in a competitive league.
While we won’t be placing my money on the Knicks to win it all, they could find themselves playing spoiler if they make it to the playoffs once again.
- Jalen Brunson – 88
- Julius Randle – 85
- R.J. Barrett – 82
- Mitchell Robinson – 82
- Immanuel Quickley – 80
- Josh Hart – 80
- Quentin Grimes – 77
- Donte DiVincenzo – 76
- Isaiah Hartenstein – 76
- Miles McBride – 74
- Jericho Sims – 74
- Evan Fournier – 73
- Isaiah Roby – 73
Oklahoma City Thunder ratings
With Chet Holmgren finally making his long-awaited debut, this Oklahoma team could be set for a complete revolution. A truly exciting team to watch, we expect the Thunder to surprise a lot of fans this season, despite their shortcomings last year.
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – 93
- Josh Giddey – 83
- Jalen Williams – 82
- Lugentz Dort – 78
- Chet Holmgren – 77
- Aleksej Pokusevski – 76

- Victor Oladipo – 75
- Jaylin Williams – 75
- Tre Mann – 75
- Jeremiah Robinson-Earl – 75
- Aaron Wiggins – 74
Orlando Magic ratings
The Magic have reasons to be excited, but none to believe they’ll magically turn into a playoff contender this year. They are one of many franchises simply looking to improve their record and make smaller steps towards a bigger goal.
Creep closer to .500 and Magic fans can be happy, but these fairly low expectations also make their NBA 2K24 ratings pretty low
- Paolo Banchero – 84
- Franz Wagner – 82
- Wendell Carter Jr. – 81
- Markelle Fultz – 80
- Cole Anthony – 79
- Jonathan Isaac – 77
- Jalen Suggs – 76
- Moritz Wagner – 76
- Joe Ingles – 76
- Gary Harris – 75
- Chuma Okeke – 74
- Goga Bitadze – 74
- Jett Howard – 72
Philadelphia 76ers ratings
The 76ers have been the butt of a few jokes in recent years but ultimately they’ve come out of the other side relatively unscathed. Now it’s time for them to put in the work towards another strong regular season and see the playoffs through to the end and give themselves a true shot at a title run.
- Joel Embiid – 96
- James Harden – 89
- Tyrese Maxey – 85
- Tobias Harris – 81
- De’Anthony Melton – 78
- Mohamed Bamba – 76
- Patrick Beverley – 76

- Montrezl Harrell – 75
- P.J. Tucker – 75
- Danny Green – 73
- Danuel House Jr. – 73
- Jaden Springer – 70
Phoenix Suns ratings
Well, it’s pretty clear that the Phoenix Suns want to win a championship this year and it may be a case of win it all this year or go bust. The addition of Bradley Beal could be a stroke of genius if it works, but if there’s no title at the end of the tunnel, then they’re stuck with one of basketball’s worst contracts and too many stars on one roster.
- Kevin Durant – 96
- Devin Booker – 94
- Bradley Beal – 86
- Deandre Ayton – 83
- Josh Okogie – 77
- Bol Bol – 77
- Drew Eubanks – 76
- Eric Gordon – 76
- Chimezie Metu – 75
- Keita Bates-Diop – 75
- Damion Lee – 75
- Yuta Watanabe – 74
- Ish Wainright – 73
Portland Trail Blazers ratings
Damian Lillard will not be a Portland player come the start of the season, this much appears to be clear, but unless a team pays the price, he’s going nowhere just yet. It’s this season’s most intriguing storyline given how many fortunes his moves could change.
The Trail Blazers will almost certainly be a worse team once he leaves and we expect them to struggle for a few seasons when he departs.
- Damian Lillard – 94
- Anfernee Simons – 83
- Jusuf Nurkic – 81
- Jerami Grant – 81
- Scoot Henderson – 78
- Shaedon Sharpe – 78
- Matisse Thybulle – 76
- Nassir Little – 75
- Moses Brown – 72
- Jabari Walker – 71
- Keon Johnson – 70
- Ibou Badji – 67
- John Butler – 67
Sacramento Kings ratings
Another year of stability could bring something truly special out of this Kings lineup. Are they title-ready on paper? No, but don’t count this team out at all. Hold onto their stars and continue to nurture talent through the draft and it won’t be long until a title in Sacramento seems a lot less unrealistic.
- De’Aaron Fox – 88
- Domantas Sabonis – 87
- Malik Monk – 82
- Keegan Murray – 80
- Kevin Huerter – 80
- Harrison Barnes – 79
- Trey Lyles – 78
- JaVale McGee – 76
- Chris Duarte – 75
- Davion Mitchell – 75
- Sasha Vezenkov – 75
- Nerlens Noel – 74
- Alex Len – 71
San Antonio Spurs ratings
Victor Wembanyama’s rating for NBA 2K24 is here? Prior to the announcement this was a big question gives there was the reveal of an early pre-order Free Agent MyTeam card, which was rated 90 overall. The Spurs have also locked down coach Popovic to another deal so the future could be very bright in San Antonio.
We expect that the success of the team will revolve around Wembanyama but the focus that opposing teams place on the Frenchman might open up opportunities for his teammates, who already made some great strides in their stats last season.
- Victor Wembanyama – 84
- Devin Vassell – 81
- Keldon Johnson – 80
- Jeremy Sochan – 78
- Zach Collins – 78
- Tre Jones – 78
- Malaki Branham – 76
- Cameron Payne – 76
- Reggie Bullock – 76
- Devonte’ Graham – 75
- Cedi Osman – 75
- Charles Bassey – 75
- Blake Wesley – 73
Toronto Raptors ratings
We feel like we’re being harsh on the Raptors to predict no meaningful changes to their ratings but after a .500 season, it can be really difficult to figure out if a team is going to improve or regress.
The Raptors are likely set to improve but we also feel like they haven’t finished doing business and could improve some key positions before the season begins.
- Pascal Siakam – 86
- Scottie Barnes – 83
- OG Anunoby – 82
- Jakob Poeltl – 81
- Gary Trent Jr. – 79
- Dennis Schroder – 77
- Chris Boucher – 77
- Precious Achiuwa – 76
- Jalen McDaniels – 76
- Thaddeus Young – 75
- Christian Koloko – 74
- Otto Porter Jr. – 74
- Malachi Flynn – 72
Utah Jazz ratings
Lauri Markkanen has the makings of a star player but is he ready to carry a franchise? It’s a question we might be able to answer after this season as he’ll be charged with bringing through three first-round draft picks and a team of journeymen and players who have yet to live up to their potential.
We would back the Jazz to show bright sparks throughout the season but ultimately still fall short of the playoffs.
- Lauri Markkanen – 86
- Walker Kessler – 83
- John Collins – 80
- Collin Sexton – 80
- Jordan Clarkson – 80
- Talen Horton-Tucker – 78

- Kris Dunn – 74
- Taylor Hendricks – 73
- Simone Fontecchio – 72
- Keyonte George – 72
Washington Wizards ratings
Where do we even start with the Washington Wizards? After years of building up hope that usually vanishes well before the halfway point of the season, and now having also traded Bradley Beal, can they actually push on and achieve something this season?
Chances are, there is a good reason to be excited about this Wizards lineup, but like with many teams this season, their NBA 2K24 ratings don’t reflect their promise.
- Kyle Kuzma – 83
- Jordan Poole – 82
- Tyus Jones – 79
- Danilo Gallinari – 77
- Corey Kispert – 77
- Daniel Gafford – 77
- Delon Wright – 77
- Deni Avdija – 76
- Landry Shamet – 75
- Mike Mescala – 75
- Kendrick Nunn – 75
- Anthony Gill – 72
