NetherRealm details MK1 Kombat Pack release order after latest trailer

NetherRealm is sharing a rough Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack release order with everyone and fans think they know exactly when to expect each of the new DLCs.

If you want to play Mortal Kombat 1 as popular characters like Omni-Man and Peacemaker (or, of course, original characters like Quan-Chi and Ermac), you’re going to want to know what the Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack release order is. This is going to help you keep track of when these new fighters are dropping and who you have to wait for. Following NetherRealm Studios’ Omni-Man reveal, MK1 is sharing who’s on the way next, and which unfortunate soul is being left until last.

We know Mortal Kombat 1 is one of the best fighting games out there as is, but we can’t help but feel like the appearance of Mortal Kombat 1 characters like Ermac and Takeda is going to elevate things even further. We also really can’t wait for the Mortal Kombat 1 Omni-Man release date to roll around. But, when is that going to happen? Well, NetherRealm Studios has offered us a window for everyone in Mortal Kombat 1’s Kombat Pack, and eagle-eyed fans have thrown something a little more concrete together.

As you can see for yourself below, Omni-Man is slated for November 2023 in this NetherRealm Studios teaser that was shared alongside a new Invincible Season 2 trailer at NYCC.

Following this, as reported by The Gamer, a press release was shared with media outlets that reveals the release window for every single fighter in the first Kombat Pack (and a little bit about the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 Kameo fighters coming).

You can check that out below:

Using this information, and the theory that each Kombat Pack character will launch roughly at the start of each in-game season, Redditor ‘Yourboy839‘ reckons that these are the exact dates the new characters are coming:

  • Omni Man ~ November 1, 2023
  • Quan Chi ~ December 13, 2023
  • Peacemaker ~ January 24, 2024
  • Ermac ~ March 6, 2024
  • Homelander ~ April 17, 2024
  • Takeda ~ May 29, 2024

One thing we will say is that it’s worth taking all this with a huge pinch of salt, and remember that Kombat Pack owners will get early access to these new fighters – with them then becoming available individually a little later. This is also on the assumption that NetherRealm Studios sticks to releasing seasons every six weeks – something that could quite easily change by the time we get to Spring 2024.

If you’re waiting patiently for the Mortal Kombat 1 Takeda release date, then, we have some bad news for you. If you’re more interested in the Mortal Kombat 1 Quan-Chi release date, however, you’re in luck. The Mortal Kombat 1 Homelander release date could tie into Amazon Prime’s The Boys Season 4 release date – which would make a lot of sense. Then, the Mortal Kombat 1 Peacekeeper release date and Mortal Kombat 1 Ermac release date are there to fill in the gaps.

Will any of these break into the top tiers of our Mortal Kombat 1 characters tier list? Well, only time will tell, but we think they might; Omni-Man is already looking particularly good, and we haven’t even seen everything he has to offer yet. While we wait to find out, though, you may be pleased to learn that everyone can pick up this Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack exclusive right now – an exclusivity period that lasted less than a month, if you’re wondering.
