Honkai Star Rail players, you’ll be pleased to know that developer HoYoverse has another gift for you – and this one’s much more valuable than the last. To celebrate a few awards from the App Store and Google Play, anyone playing HSR on PS5 (or a mobile device, of course) is going to get even more free Stellar Jade very soon. You won’t have forever to claim this, though, so you’re going to need to be ready for when it arrives.
When playing Honkai Star Rail, Stellar Jade is one of the most important resources (which is technically more of a currency) that you can get your hands on. If you want to take advantage of the ever-changing Honkai Star Rail banner schedule and try your luck at getting some of the best Honkai Star Rail characters available in the current line-up of Warps, then you’re going to need Stellar Jade to do that. You might not like the fact that one of the best RPG games on PS5 consoles right now relies on loot box mechanics so heavily, but it’s an unavoidable part of putting together the best Honkai Star Rail team comp and being ready for whatever HoYoverse and the Astral Express throws your way.
That, though, is why the following announcement is so exciting. Honkai Star Rail is giving everyone 800 Stellar Jade via in-game mail after being honored with a number of awards and accolades on both the iOS App Store and the Google Play store. You would need to spend over $10 on Oneric Shards to get the same amount of Stellar Jade as this gift, just to add some context to this number.
This new Stellar Jade gift will arrive on December 1 at 00:00 server time, which translates to 01:00 PST / 04:00 EST / 09:00 GMT, and will be available to claim until the end of version 1.5 and the Honkai Star Rail 1.6 release date. This is expected to arrive on either December 20 or December 27, giving you just a couple of weeks to make sure you log in and claim this gift.
If you want to know what you can get with 800 Stellar Jade and why you should care, you’ll be interested to know that 800 Stellar Jade will get you five pulls on the Honkai Star Rail 1.5 banners – each Star Rail Special Pass will set you back 160 Stellar Jade. You can, of course, save your Stellar Jade and spend it on the new banners when version 1.6 arrives, but there are some fantastic characters available in the next couple of weeks well worth trying to pick up.
Huohuo, in particular, is available until December 6, so this gift couldn’t have come at a better time for players trying to unlock her. As a decent support character and one of the few PS5 players have had the chance to get so far, she’s certainly going to help with the survivability of your squad.
However, Silver Wolf – a meta character PS5 players are yet to get a chance to unlock – is arriving in the Thorns of Scented Crown banner (which is available from December 6 until December 27). A five-star Quantum Nihilty path character excellent at debuffing enemies, Silver Wolf is someone who can fit into any number of team compositions. In particular, she’s quite good at improving mono-element teams against enemies that would otherwise not have an elemental weakness – which is a very valuable tool to have access to.
If you’re looking for even more Stellar Jade, you should make sure you’re checking out all the currently active Honkai Star Rail codes – and checking regularly. These almost always offer up extra Stellar Jade, albeit not quite as much as the 800 Stellar Jade HoYoverse is offering players this December.
For those of you happy with your team and looking ahead to the next major update, Honkai Star Rail 1.6 leaks reveal a total of 16 new Curios are on the way and the Honkai Star Rail 1.6 update is set to change the way the current battle pass system works in a rather interesting way. It also looks like the Honkai Star Rail Gift of Odyssey is coming back in version 1.6 too – a daily log-in bonus worth keeping on top of as it’s another chance to get Star Rail Special Passes. So, it’s safe to say that there’s plenty to look forward to beyond version 1.5 and having an additional 800 Stellar Jade to enjoy it with is far from a bad thing.
