While the fact that the Honkai Star Rail PS5 release date falls on the same day as the next major title update and this event makes it feel a little exclusive, this is actually something you can look forward to on a regular basis. The Gifts of Odyssey promotion that’s giving you your free Star Rail Special Passes is actually a recurring log-in event; it resets roughly every six weeks alongside each scheduled title update.
What does this mean? Well, it means that you can look forward to even more free Star Rail Special Passes in Honkai Star Rail from November 22, 2023 – when update 1.5 is expected to drop. That doesn’t sound so far away, does it?
Of course, if you can’t wait, there are other ways to get your hands on Star Rail Special Passes. You can buy them for 160 Stellar Jade or 20 Undying Starlight from Stellar Trade or Starlight Exchange respectively. There’s also a limited amount available for 90 Undying Embers at the Embers Exchange – which resets monthly. You’ll also earn a few from finishing quests, but these rewards are few and far between.
It’s also worth noting that the current Honkai Star Rail crossplay systems should include the PlayStation version – like they do the PC and mobile versions of the game. This means you can earn – and use – these free Star Rail Special Passes on any platform you play Honkai Star Rail on.
