Grab your favourite weapons and builds, it’s time to grind some gear to reach the Destiny 2 Lightfall Power cap and Power soft cap for gear.

Destiny 2 Lightfall Power cap: The new Strand Warlock, Hunter, and Titan showing off their new powers.

Every new expansion brings the opportunity to grind even more Power levels to be Raid ready and improve your strength with each update. As such here is the Destiny 2 Lightfall Power cap, including the Power soft cap and max Power level.

Not only will you have a Destiny 2 Lightfall Power cap to reach, but you’ll also have brand new Destiny 2 Lightfall Exotic weapons and Destiny 2 Lightfall Exotic armor to chase down. Lightfall also brings with it a Destiny 2 Strand subclass for each class for a fresh new way to play by manipulating the threads of reality itself.

Destiny 2 Lightfall Power cap

The Destiny 2 Lightfall Power cap is 1800 Power, while the soft cap is 1750. This is an increase of 210 Power from last season.

Reaching the Power soft cap is a straightforward process since every piece of gear you earn should be an upgrade, no matter the rarity or source. However, once you reach the Lightfall Power soft cap of 1750, you’ll need to earn Powerful and Pinnacle Gear to increase your base Power level. Likewise, once you reach the Powerful Gear cap, only Pinnacle Gear will be an upgrade to your current Power to bring you to the maximum Destiny 2 Lightfall Power cap.

Keep in mind that, while the Seasonal Artifact also grants increases to Power, this type of Power is not taken into account when entering activities. When you hover over your Power level in the game, you can see both your base Power and then the additional Power earned via the Artifact which is purely to convey your progress through the current Season.

Now you know the Destiny 2 Lightfall Power cap you’re ready to dive in and spend those hard-earned Destiny 2 Upgrade Modules to infuse your new higher Power gear. Remember that, while Power is undoubtedly important, you’ll also need the best Destiny 2 Titan build, best Destiny 2 Warlock build, or the best Destiny 2 Hunter to survive, particularly in high level activities.
