Call of Duty Next is a huge look at MW3, so here’s how to watch it

The biggest look at Modern Warfare 3, MW3 Zombies, and Warzone arrives with Call of Duty Next. You don't want to miss it, so here's how to watch COD next.

Call of Duty Next 2023 start time how to watch

While every COD game is a gigantic release, the hype for Modern Warfare 3 is palpable. Full of beloved multiplayer maps, open-world MW3 Zombies, and a new Warzone experience to enjoy, it might set a new bar for the franchise. The best way to get a look at all these delights is via Call of Duty Next, a presentation dedicated to exploring the next era of the FPS franchise. So, here’s what you need to know the Call of Duty Next start time and how to watch Call of Duty Next right here.

Just like you, we can’t wait to see more of MW3 and MW3 Zombies, but when exactly does COD Next begin? Activision confirms that Call of Duty Next will begin on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 9:00AM PST/ 5:00PM BST / 12:00PM EST. While an official runtime is yet to be revealed for the broadcast, we estimate it could clock in around the 5-hour mark, as per last year’s presentation.

However, don’t get your hopes to see multiple hours of the MW3 Campaign. Last year, Activision allowed streamers and pro-players to experience Al Mazrah for a large portion of the broadcast, so it is possible that we’ll be treated an equally long preview of the next Warzone map. The next map is allegedly the setting of the new COD Zombies mode too, and the MW3 Collector’s Edition has already given us some clues about what to expect in it.

As for watching the Call of Duty Next broadcast, you can stream the Call of Duty Next presentation on the official Call of Duty YouTube channel and the official Call of Duty Twitch channel. We’ve taken the hassle out of it for you, though, as you can find the COD Next stream below.

According to the YouTube description for the COD Next presentation, this is exactly what Activision is promising to deliver a preview of:

  • Modern Warfare 3 Live Gameplay Reveals
  • Zombies infecting the MW3 universe
  • The future of Warzone
  • The Warzone mobile experience
  • Live gameplay from your favorite streamers

Crucially, this doesn’t confirm the return of DMZ mode in Modern Warfare 3. The popular Escape From Tarkov-like mode has carved a dedicated playerbase in the Call of Duty community, but the arrival of a large scale Zombies experience seems to have left the mode in the dust.

We’ll just have to wait and see what COD Next confirms. In the meantime, get prepared for the MW3 beta. This will be your first taste of MW3 multiplayer, but you’ll need a code to gain access. Luckily, we’ve got two ways ready to go for getting yourself a free MW3 beta code.
