We’re almost in full hype mode for Modern Warfare 3, as the forthcoming Call of Duty entry sets its sights on a fresh era for the FPS franchise. There’s a lot riding on the game’s shoulders already, but one way to get a taste of how good MW3 multiplayer is via the upcoming MW3 beta. Whether you’re jumping on PS5, Xbox, or PC, there are ways to easily acquire a free MW3 beta code.
The first method includes the upcoming World Series of Warzone Grand Final, which is set to take place at the Copper Box Arena in London Saturday, September 16, 2023. Beginning at 6:30AM PST / 9:30AM EST / 3:30PM BST, a sturdy lineup of Warzone competitors will duke it out for $600,000.
Activision encourages you to tune in, as there is a chance you can grab yourself a free MW3 beta code. COD fans can have up to 3 entries, each of them watching at least 3 hours of the competition.
To be in with a chance of getting one, there are a couple of steps to follow beforehand:
- Create an Activision account and link it to your PSN, Xbox, Steam, or Battle.net
- Link the Activision account to your preferred Twitch or YouTube channel
- Watch the event while signed in on the Twitch or YouTube channel that is linked
Our other method requires you to have an Amazon account for your respective region. If you have one setup, then this is potentially the easiest free method to get a code. All you need to do is place a MW3 pre-order. You won’t be charged until or close to the Modern Warfare 3 release date, but you will be sent a beta code when the dates arrive. Make sure to check your spam nearer to the time, just in case your inbox filters it. With an Amazon pre-order is that you can cancel it with no charge, in case you’re not a fan of MW3’s multiplayer in the beta. Just make sure to do this well before the game releases, though.
PlayStation players will get priority, though, as the beta will arrive first for PS4 and PS5 owners. Xbox and PC players can get in on the action on the following beta weekend. You can check out the full breakdown of the MW3 beta dates in our handy guide.
If you’ve already pre-ordered Modern Warfare 3 from a retailer in-person or online, then you can still expect your beta code to come through as normal.
We’ve already been keeping our eyes on the arsenal Sledgehammer Games is crafting for the next COD, so here are all the MW3 guns we’ve spotted so far. However, if multiplayer isn’t your thing, then there is the arrival of Modern Warfare 3 Zombies to check out too.
