While the FFAR 1 was arguably the most widely-used weapon during Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone, its position as one of the game’s top guns is under threat. The heavy-hitting AR – which has been so good at close to mid-range most have run it like an SMG – has received a number of nerfs recently, including a big one in the Season 3 update.
Despite this, it appears to have survived the weapon tuning without too many injuries and is still one of the best Warzone guns right now. It’s not quite as overpowered as it once was, but with the right attachments the FFAR can still beam.
So what’s the best way to set up this AR/ SMG hybrid for the new-look Verdansk in Season 3? And which second weapon, equipment, and perks should accompany your FFAR to create the perfect loadout?
Well, we’ve been checking the loadouts of YouTubers, streamers, and the community to find the FFAR build that will still perform, despite its recent Season 3 nerfs.
Best FFAR Warzone loadout
- Agency Suppressor
- Raider Stock
- Field Agent Grip
- STANAG 50 Round
- Serpent Wrap
This is the best FFAR build for your Warzone loadout if you’re looking for both a close-range shredder and mid-range beamer. While it will struggle at longer distances, this FFAR can comfortably put in big damage with decent accuracy, despite its recent nerfs.
For those enemies out of reach of your FFAR, a top assault rifle or a lethal sniper rifle are your best bets. Look at our best AMAX Warzone loadout for the perfect AR, or try out the new Swiss K31 sniper if you fancy yourself a clinical marksman.
For perks, run Double Time for better movement, Overkill to get your two primary weapons, and Amped for faster weapon switching.
For tactical equipment, go for a Heartbeat Sensor if you’re feeling sneaky or a Stun Grenade if you’re feeling aggressive. Thermite Grenades are the top choice for lethal equipment.
The FFAR may have taken a few knocks, but it certainly isn’t down and out in Warzone Season 3.
