If you get your kicks in the best competitive FPS games from pinging heads with a well placed snipe, then you’re certainly not alone. Sniping, especially in a big, open battle royale like Call of Duty: Warzone, provides some of the most satisfying gameplay there is.
So, if you want to become a lethal sniper in Warzone, which gun should you be throwing into your loadout to make sure those crispy shots translate into kills on the scoreboard? Well, the general consensus is that you can’t go wrong running the Kar98k in Season 5.
The Kar98k – although technically a marksman rifle – is widely dubbed the best sniper Warzone has to offer, as it has decent mobility, a relatively quick fire rate for a bolt-action rifle, and will comfortably one-tap enemies with a well-placed headshot. It’s the complete package, but how do you squeeze every last drop of goodness out of it through Warzone’s attachments system? And what should you run it with to create the best Kar98k Warzone loadout?
Well, we’ve got the answers for you right here.
The best Kar98k Warzone loadout
- Monolithic Suppressor
- Singuard Custom 27.6”
- Tac Laser
- Sniper Scope
- STVOL Precision Comb
This is the undisputed best build for a Kar98k in Warzone and has how the vast majority of players set it up for sniping in Verdansk.
With maxed out damage range, a clean scope, and deadly accuracy, this Kar98k class is every Warzone sniper’s dream. The Monolithic Suppressor increases the gun’s damage range, the Singuard Custom 27.6″ barrel increases velocity and recoil control, and the Sniper Scope gives you seven times the magnification – perfect if you like to keep your distance.
The stock is where things get interesting. Right now, top Warzone players are flitting between the STVOL Precision Comb and the FTAC Sport Comb. The STVOL, which we’ve opted for above, increases the Kar98’s aiming stability, but the FTAC reduces the aim down sight speed. If you’re someone who likes to snipe on the go, we’d recommend picking the FTAC instead.
But what do you run this Kar98k build with to make it the best sniper class possible? Well, you’ll need one of the best Warzone guns for mid to close-range fights.
For perks, you’ll definitely need Overkill to run an SMG or AR alongside your Kar98k, and Double Time and Amped are probably your best bets in the other two slots.
For equipment, a Heartbeat Sensor is useful for checking buildings before you head on into one to set up, and Throwing Knives could be a handy lethal option to quickly finish the enemies you’ve downed with a well-placed snipe.
This Kar98k Warzone loadout is, without much debate, the best way to snipe right now. Many snipers have been added to the battle royale, but none have managed to dethrone the Kar98k yet.
