MW3 Zombies beta could arrive after COD Next showcase, rumors claim

Activision will lift the lid off Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 during the COD Next showcase, potentially leading to a MW3 Zombies beta before launch.

An in-depth look at the next Call of Duty game is on the horizon, as Activision prepares to dig into Modern Warfare 3 at the upcoming COD Next presentation. Likely to reveal what MW3 multiplayer has in store, new rumors point toward a potential MW3 Zombies beta – and it may arrive before the Modern Warfare 3 release date.

Call of Duty leaker ‘HeyImAlaix’ continues his leaks around the latest COD game, this time purporting that a MW3 Zombies in the works – by using an emoji and the beta symbol. The rumor is certainly lacking in any specific details, but the leaker’s track record points toward this being credible. It’d mark a first to offer up a COD Zombies experience before launch, with COD betas often reserved for traditional multiplayer modes.

However, this iteration promises “the largest Zombies map ever” and may well be the end of DMZ mode as we know it. If it is as grandiose as Sledgehammer Games is claiming it is, then an early glimpse of the mode could repair relationships with fans who felt let down by Call of Duty Vanguard’s version of the Zombies experience.

Modern Warfare 3 zombies beta

It is possible that this could be detailed during the forthcoming COD Next showcase, which players can tune into on Thursday, October 5, 2023. You can watch it via the official Call of Duty YouTube channel or Call of Duty Twitch channel.

“With the help of Call of Duty developers and community representatives, Call of Duty Next is the premier showcase for Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer, a look forward to what’s coming to Call of Duty Warzone, as well as a live stream where updates from Call of Duty’s mobile experiences will be shared,” says Activision on the Call of Duty blog page.

HeyImAlaix is becoming a reputable name in the COD community, following leaks of the game’s pre-order bonuses and a recent uncovering of a 2019 MW build featuring a playable Verdansk. However, the leaker is currently facing action for the latter, as Activision sent them a cease and desist letter to address unauthorized access to the build.

While we wait for a concrete confirmation, this is what you need to know about all the confirmed Modern Warfare 3 maps, as well as how to get yourself a free MW3 beta code.
