Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is about to enter its most important chapter yet, as Kill the Justice League Season 1 is almost here. The first major seasonal update for Rocksteady Studios’ shooter brings the Joker into Metropolis, alongside new locations and some tasty weaponry too. Before Season 1 kicks off, you can also pick up the deluxe edition of the game with a considerable discount.

Getting your hands on new PS5 games and new Xbox games like Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League isn’t cheap. With the deluxe edition typically retailing for $99.99, we’d be cautious about dipping into our gaming funds too. Now, you take advantage of a 40% discount, which reduces the deluxe edition to $59.99/£59.99. That’s the same price as the standard edition of the DC Comics multiplayer game, so it’s a no-brainer if you haven’t already snagged it.

You’ve likely heard some divisive things about Kill the Justice League, and while it is warranted on the technical side recently, it isn’t as bad as you may think. In fact, Kill the Justice League is one of the best co-op games around when it shines. Packed with fantastic combat and traversal mechanics, and a great story with genuinely good humor, you might just find yourself won over by its charm. The discount is coming in at an interesting time, as Season 1 could be the turning point the game needs going forward.

Much of the game’s future has emerged through leaks and datamining already. Characters like Batman villain Deathstroke are all-but-confirmed to arrive, as well as some awesome multiverse shenanigans set for Season 2. Aside from the Joker’s debut as a new playable character, Rocksteady teases some fresh weaponry to blast Brainiac’s forces with: “Here’s a little sneak preview of an explosive new grenade you’ll be able to unleash in Season 1, based on a character we’ve spotted several of you talking about lately.”

The key word here is “spotted” as Rocksteady is very clearly referencing Polka-Dot Man, a Suicide Squad member you’ll have seen on the big screen in James Gunn’s 2021 movie. Villains like Two-Face and Bane, as well as many others, have themed gear in the game to collect.

You’ll get some pretty potent buffs for combining, while also unlocking secret combinations that make you extremely powerful. In our experience with Bane-themed gear, you can absolutely decimate enemies if you’re open to experimentation.

Visiting the Toyman to tinker with your weapon stats is vital. The Toyman can Elite your weapons, making it so you can tweak each statistical buff a weapon can grant. This also applies to shields, grenades, and other items too. So, with all that in mind, don’t miss out on this discount before it ends.
