Fans of Invincible who are waiting patiently for Omni-Man to arrive in Mortal Kombat 1 will be pleased to know that the wait is finally almost over. However, as imminent as his arrival is, MK1 developer NetherRealm Studios still hasn’t shared any substantial gameplay footage yet. Thankfully, dedicated dataminers are doing their best to give the fans what they want. Interestingly, recent Mortal Kombat 1 Omni-Man combo leaks reveal that he’s going to have a move only one other fighter can utilize – right now, anyway.

Mortal Kombat 1 might be one of the best fighting games out there right now, but that isn’t stopping fans from clamoring for more – like the Mortal Kombat 1 Omni-Man release date to arrive. While this recent PlayStation Store update confirms when Omni-Man is set to arrive, we’re still waiting on information about his Mortal Kombat 1 combos and a real sense of where he’s going to sit on our Mortal Kombat 1 tier list. However, leakers are sharing some strings from Omni-Man’s game files online and – if they’re real – he’s going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Shared by Havik fan ‘TomatoSauce587‘, dataminer ‘Interloko’ claims that Omni-Man will have Air Dash moves in MK1. Right now, of all the Mortal Kombat 1 characters available, only Nitara has access to this impressive mobility move.

When used correctly, as you can see below, it can be a devastating way of extending combos.

Do we think Omni-Man has Air Dash moves, though? Well, we do think it’s more than plausible; he can fly, after all. When you look at the current roster, despite the superhuman abilities these fighters display, Nitara is the only character who can fly – technically. With Omni-Man also being able to fly canonically, we think it makes perfect sense to have him take advantage of this with Air Dash moves.

What we don’t know, though, is if this will be an eight-directional Air Dash like Nitara. As something of a bruiser with a heavy-hitting set of attacks, at least in Invincible, we don’t think it would be entirely unfair if Omni-Man’s Air Dash was limited to a four-directional move. However, only time will tell.

As you can see below, though, the Omni-Man combos leak also includes things like “Mega Clap” and “Invincible Rush” – both of which sound like something NetherRealm Studios would give to Omni-Man.

In Invincible, we see Omni-Man forcefully clap his hands together to create shockwaves. So, we think that this could be one of his ranged attacks. The move “Invincible Rush” also sounds like something that would be similar to Raiden’s Electric Fly – a quick combo to close the distance between players and deal a decent amount of damage. Raiden might not show signs of flying often, but this is definitely one of them.

Is Omni-Man really going to be as good as fans hope, though? We know trailers can be deceptive at the best of times, but the small amount of gameplay footage we have seen does suggest that he’s going to be a hard-hitter. The fact that he has Air Dash, allegedly, only suggests he’ll be even more fun to play as.

Want to know more about the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack content, though? Well, these new MK1 leaks are sparking some wild theories about Takeda’s story changes and it looks like a MK1 Terminator DLC is coming, just not the one you might think. We also have the latest on the Mortal Kombat 1 Homelander release date, here – another fighter we could see having Air Dash.
