Ahead of the next major Honkai Star Rail update, brand new Honkai Star Rail leaks reveal that there’s going to be a way for you to unlock yet-another free character very soon – and that character is going to be well worth adding to your first team. If you’re in desperate need of a healer, which can be hard to come by in HSR sometimes, you’ll definitely want to keep an eye out for this.
In the coming weeks, Honkai Star Rail developer HoYoverse is offering players a real abundance of Stellar Jade – which is vital for picking up new Honkai Star Rail characters. From several new Honkai Star Rail codes you can claim, to a gift of free Honkai Star Rail Stellar Jade dropping on November 24, chancing your luck at getting some of the best Honkai Star Rail characters available right now has never been easier. Although, the Honkai Star Rail banner schedule isn’t always as forgiving as it could be and those of you who need a specific role filling in your first team might find that you’re just out of luck when it comes to the current banners.
Thankfully, though, those of you in need of more support units while you play one of the best RPG games for free-to-play players on PS5 won’t actually have too long to wait before you get the chance to add Lynx to your team for free – a four-star Quantum healer on the Abundance path.
Despite only being a four-star character, Lynx is actually a fantastic option for players who need to add a little more support to their teams. She can heal allies with Outdoor Survival Experience and Snowfield First Aid, which is always a bonus, but can also dictate the flow of the fight by using Salted Camping Cans, which both heals an ally and increases the chance they’ll be attacked by enemies for two turns.
Sounds useful, right? Well, as these new Honkai Star Rail leaks reveal, players will actually be able to unlock Lynx for free by clearing Stage 2 of any phase of Pure Fiction when the Honkai Star Rail version 1.6 update rolls around mid-December. This, though, is still a few weeks away; so, you may want to check out the best Honkai Star Rail team comps now and see if you can take advantage of any with the characters you have available at the moment.
Although, if you do want to prepare a team for Lynx, you should keep an eye out for characters like Dan Heng, Asta, Bronya, and Silver Wolf. The current Honkai Star Rail 1.5 banners actually offer up Dan Heng, and Silver Wolf will be availabe in Phase 2 (alongside Lynx, funnily enough). A mono-Quantum team set-up using Silver Wolf, Seele, Fu Xuan, and Lynx is proving popular at the moment, so spending your Stellar Jade on some warps in the coming weeks isn’t a bad idea – and you might even get Lynx ahead of the version 1.6 update anyway.
With PS5 players still missing this meta unit, any chance to get free characters in Honkai Star Rail shouldn’t be frowned upon. However, there are more ways to improve your current team without adding new members to it. These new Honkai Star Rail 1.5 Relics in particular can be used to transform even the worst characters into first team material. So, it’s worth checking those out too while they’re available.
