Hogwarts Legacy Collections: A player can be seen casting a spell

Collections are one of the many tabs of items you can find in Hogwarts Legacy as you are getting to grips with the game. It is a useful tab filled with almost everything you will discover and come across while playing. To get you started, we will go over the various categories of Hogwarts Legacy Collections and where you can find some of the items within them generally.

This guide touches on a lot of the other aspects of the game which we have already covered including Hogwarts Legacy wand customisation, Hogwarts Legacy wand handles, and more. All of this information was gathered during our Hogwarts Legacy review playthrough.

Hogwarts Legacy Collections explained

Hogwarts Legacy’s Collections are effectively a log of a variety of items, gear, and things you find throughout the world. They keep track of everything you find and have earned.

They are important for being able to understand just how much of the game you have completed to some degree. While they don’t track things like Hogwarts Legacy quests, they do keep track of items like Hogwarts Legacy’s Traits, the Hogwarts Legacy Beasts, and items for the Hogwarts Legacy Room of Requirement.

Hogwarts Legacy Collections categories

There are a total of 10 Hogwarts Legacy Collections categories:

Tools
Enemies
Appearances
Revelio Pages
Beasts
Traits
Wand Handles
Conjurations
Ingredients
Brooms

A lot of these categories are self-explanatory. But some of the vaguer ones include Tools, which are effectively potions and combat tools you can use to help yourself out in combat. Revelio Pages are found around Hogwarts and the Hogwarts Legacy map. Appearances are different visual looks you can choose while customising your character. These affect Hogwarts Legacy Transmog.

Finally, Conjurations are items you can use in all-in-one room in Hogwarts once you have unlocked the Room of Requirement in Hogwarts Legacy. Each of these has dozens of boxes to check and items to collect so you should be busy for a while!

Hogwarts Legacy has drawn considerable criticism during its development, largely due to the fact that the creator of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, has made a number of transphobic remarks on social media in recent years.

While Avalanche has confirmed that J.K. Rowling is not “directly involved” in the development of Hogwarts Legacy, it is working with “her team” and Portkey Games, a Warner Bros. label dedicated to launching new experiences inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. It is currently unclear whether she will earn any royalties from the game’s sale, but it is likely given it is based on her original body of work.
