The story of Hogwarts Legacy will take you outside of the magical halls and into the larger world, filled with danger and excitement, and the Hogwarts Legacy quests give you an idea of what to expect. Whether you’ll be making a quick trip to Hogsmeade or fighting dark wizards, there’s a lot to look forward to.
We’ve played through all of these main story quests as part of our Hogwarts Legacy review, where we got to use a range of all Hogwarts Legacy spells in every situation. While you can play through quite a few of the main quests without worrying about certain requirements, most of them will need you to play through some Hogwarts Legacy Assignments. You’ll also need to level up fast in Hogwarts Legacy, as some quests are locked to certain levels.

Hogwarts Legacy has drawn considerable criticism during its development, largely due to the fact that the creator of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, has made a number of transphobic remarks on social media in recent years.
While Avalanche has confirmed that J.K. Rowling is not “directly involved” in the development of Hogwarts Legacy, it is working with “her team” and Portkey Games, a Warner Bros. label dedicated to launching new experiences inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. It is currently unclear whether she will earn any royalties from the game’s sale, but it is likely given it is based on her original body of work.
