It’s goals galore as hattricks dominate our FC 24 TOTW predictions

EA Sports' next Team of the Week squad is coming and we're here with our predictions for the FC 24 TOTW 3 squad and why these players deserve in-form cards.

Oh, would you look at that? Another week of EA Sports’ FC 24 is passing us by and that means it’s time to talk about the next Team of the Week squad. If you can believe it, FC 24 TOTW 3 is right around the corner and we could be in for a real treat. If you want to check out our predictions ahead of an official announcement, you’re in the right place.

We know FC 24 is far from perfect, but it’s still one of the best soccer games out there right now and well worth spending some time playing. When you consider all the free FC 24 packs you can earn, you’re always in with a chance of nabbing one or two players from the latest Team of the Week squad. We know in-form players are a little out there when it comes to throwing together the best FC 24 starter team, but it’s still worth keeping track of these players. You never know what’s in your next pack. But, who could be in those packs?

FC 24 TOTW 3 predictions

Here’s The Loadout’s FC 24 TOTW 3 predictions ahead of an official announcement from EA Sports:

  • Ollie Watkins
  • Lautaro Martinez
  • Joachim Andersen
  • Riccardo Orsolini
  • Cristian Tello
  • Jutta Rantala

The first player we need to talk about is Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins – who has had one hell of a week. Scoring Villa’s first, second, and fourth goal in a 6-1 rout of Brighton and Hove Albion, he also nabbed himself an assit in the game’s final few minutes. From start to finish, he was instrumental in his team’s monumental victory and well deserving of a spot in TOTW 3.

If this potential Ollie Watkins card isn’t one of the best FC 24 strikers available in packs, though, the more inevitable Lautaro Martinez card will be. The Inter Milan striker netted all four goals against Salernitana this week and, as a substitute, it’s really hard to argue with an appearance in the Team of the Week squad.

One player who we think could sneak into the TOTW squad as one of the lower-rated players available is Crystal Palace’s Joachim Andersen. The Eagle’s 1-0 win against Manchester United was something of a shock, and Andersen played a pivotal part in Palace’s three points. With a clean sheet and the only goal of the day, if any Palace deserves a spot it’s him. He won’t be the best FC 24 CB option available, but a TOTW card would make a fine addition to any early-game squads.

FC Bologna player Riccardo Orsolini is another high-scorer, though, that absolutely deserves a spot in this week’s Team of the Week squad. He netted all three of his team’s goals against Empoli, proving his effectiveness as a striker. This card isn’t going to be one of the highest-rated IFs this week, but he could be one of the cheapest FC 24 players when it comes to TOTW cards – which isn’t a bad thing if you’re looking for a decent dribbler with a solid shot.

Spanish soccer star Cristian Tello, who currently plays in the Saudi Pro League for Al Fateh, is another player who was able to add a hattrick of goals to his tally in last week’s fixtures. In a dominant display from Slaven Bilic’s side against Al Wehda, Tello scored just before the break and set the tone for the rest of the match. It’s hard to argue with that.

Our final pick for this week’s TOTW predictions is Finnish forward Jutta Rantala. In Leicester City’s opening 4-2 win against Bristol City Women in the WSL, Rantala netted two goals and nabbed an assist. We know it’s only the first week of the league, but this triumphant display is a statement for the rest of the season and Rantala was a vital part of sticking Leicester City at the top of the table – alongside Manchester City

Well, that’s all there is – for now. This isn’t the be-all and end-all of the FC 24 TOTW 3 squad, but it’s certainly a small selection of all the players that could make the selection. If you want to up your game ahead of EA Sports’ official announcement, you can check out the best FC 24 formations here and the best FC 24 settings right here. We also have some insight into what $400 worth of packs will get you, if you’re thinking of buying FC Points. However, you’re going to be better grinding Squad Battles and Division Rivals if you want TOTW players.
