Destiny 2 Revision Zero how to get and unlock the exotic

Are you wondering how to get and unlock the Destiny 2 Revision Zero weapon? Here is what you need to do to add the gun to your collection

Destiny 2 Revision Zero: The Revision Zero weapon can be seen

A new Destiny 2 season is here which means a whole new set of weapons to find and unlock. And, in Season of The Seraph, there isn’t a weapon more inviting than the Revision Zero. So, to help you get your hands on it, this guide will talk you through how to get and unlock the Destiny 2 Revision Zero.

With the weapon coming just after the Destiny 2 Season 19 release date, the gun has been on everyone’s eyes. And, from what we can see it looks like it could fit quite well into your Destiny 2 Warlock Build, Destiny 2 Titan build, or Destiny 2 Hunter build.

Destiny 2 Revision Zero – how to get it

The Destiny 2 Revision Zero exotic weapon can be earned from finishing the Operation Seraph’s Shield Exotic mission. This is live from the server reset time on December 20, 2022. In Operation Seraph’s Shield, you will fight through a Braytech orbital facility above the Last City, with each week letting you access a deeper level of the facility. This quest can be started from the Holoprojector in The Helm after completing a Heist Battleground.

After completing the mission, craft Revision Zero and then extract the pattern to get an identical copy of the gun which you can use. Since it is a crafted weapon, Revision Zero can be levelled up through use and completing activities, unlocking further upgrades accessible via the Relic in The Enclave. When Reshaping the weapon, upgrades include four stages of the Hunter’s Trace Intrinsic perk, different barrel, magazine, and stock attachments, different Traits, and four Catalysts.

The Revision Zero Catalyst is unique, in that the weapon actually has four different Catalysts to choose from once you have acquired them. To unlock the Revision Zero Catalysts, you must progress the ‘Should You Choose to Accept It’ Quest and find the dead Exo bodies hidden in the Operation Seraph’s Shield mission.

Catalyst Perk How to Unlock
Frenzy Refit Frenzy Awarded from the quest ‘Should You Choose to Accept It, Part 1‘, available at the Exo Frame in the H.E.L.M. upon completion of Step 32 of ‘More Than a Weapon’
Pressurized Refit Under Pressure Awarded from the quest ‘Should You Choose to Accept It, Part 2‘, available at the Exo Frame in the H.E.L.M. upon completion of Step 39 of ‘More Than a Weapon’
Outlaw Refit Outlaw Awarded from the quest ‘Should You Choose to Accept It, Part 3‘, available at the Exo Frame in the H.E.L.M. upon completion of Step 46 of ‘More Than a Weapon’
Four-Timer Refit Fourth Time’s The Charm Awarded from the quest ‘Should You Choose to Accept It, Part 4‘, available at the Exo Frame in the H.E.L.M. upon completion of Step 53 of ‘More Than a Weapon’

To unlock Hunter’s Trace and level Revision Zero’s Intrinsic perk, you will have to keep up to date with the weekly story, venturing back into the Operation Seraph’s Shield mission. Unlocking Hunter’s Trace 2 and onwards will provide significant bonuses to the weapon’s stats, such as increased range, stability, handling, and reload speed. Once Hunter’s Trace is fully upgraded, Revision Zero will be a force to be reckoned with.
