You’ll be bringing over your favorite Modern Warfare 2 weapon camos, and the guns too, into Modern Warfare 3. As part of the ‘Carry Forward’ initiative for the latest Call of Duty entry, Activision is ensuring a level of parity between the two FPS titles. Now, a new MW3 early access trailer shows off the 21 Savage skin, which is one of many transferable Modern Warfare 3 operators.

If you haven’t got your MW3 pre-orders confirmed yet, then this new Modern Warfare 3 early access trailer could sway the tides for you. There are familiar faces from the Modern Warfare reboot series to spot, including the likes of Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley, Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick, Valeria Garza, and Phillip Graves – who did survive that tank explosion after all. Vladimir Makarov is even taking time away from trying to defeat Task Force 141 and asserting world domination.

And you can play as all of them in MW3, but more interestingly, the trailer depicts them all crossing over into the new COD game alongside the recent 21 Savage operator skin. This is the first time we have seen any of the current MW2 skins within the new game, as the MW3 beta gave players a brief selection of fresh operators to dominate Rust or Highrise with.

The new trailer comes from Bullet Train and John Wick co-director David Leitch, featuring cameos from 21 Savage, NBA star Devin Booker and UK artist Central Cee.

To celebrate the release of the trailer, players can also check out a new song from One Republic’s Ryan Tedder, who collaborates with 21 Savage on the track. Titled Call Me Revenge, you can check it out on Spotify below. We’ve seen operators from Call of Duty games appear across Warzone and Black Ops Cold War in the past, and now Modern Warfare 3 is set to be packed full of vibrant characters within all the MW3 maps.

That’s because Activision will port over all the existing operators in your Modern Warfare 2 library, including your purchases bundles too. So yes, if you want to play MW3 Zombies as Homelander, Nicki Minaj, or Ash from the Evil Dead movies, you can absolutely do that. It might even be one of the best elements in the new COD Zombies mode.

The Modern Warfare 3 release date is drawing closer, and before it does arrive, more COD store bundles are launching courtesy of the ongoing The Haunting event. New bundles include the likes of the aforementioned Ash Williams, Skeletor, and Lilith from Diablo 4. Whether you’re using them in the new Warzone map or MW3 multiplayer, there is certainly going to be a unique cast of characters in every match.

Until then, this is what you need to know about the MW3 Season 1 release date, which will brings new maps, guns, and modes as Modern Warfare 3 begins its content cycle.
