Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is so close you can almost taste it and a brand new look at the MW3 multiplayer offering has just dropped ahead of Call of Duty Next on October 5. This new Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer reveal trailer offers us a fantastic look at the frantic fast-paced action we can look forward to when this threequel drops, while also offering us our first look at some of the weapons, scorestreaks, maps, and operators we’ll be able to enjoy.
The Call of Duty franchise consistently presents players with some of the best FPS games out there and Modern Warfare 3 is one of several upcoming PS5 games and upcoming Xbox games that you’re not going to want to miss out on. To Eminem and Nate Dogg’s Till I Collapse, Call of Duty is offering us a jam-packed two-minute trailer full of interesting details.
As you can see for yourself below, we’re getting a full suite of operators, “16 iconic maps” at launch, and a lot of explosions. It’s a little hard to tell how fluid the gameplay is yet, as this is a heavily edited trailer with more than enough visual effects, but it certainly does look a little quicker than what we’ve seen from Modern Warfare 2 over the last year.
Mechanics like ledge-hanging, extravagant takedowns, and sliding all make a comeback – that much is clear. It also looks like scorestreaks like the infamous Wheelson will return alongside the frustrating VTOL Jet, EMPs, and more.
There’s also a moment at 1:25 in the above trailer that seems to suggest a multi-team mode is coming to small-scale maps like Rust, which undoubtedly promises intense action akin to a large-team mode on Shipment.
Interestingly, this trailer also offers us an insight into some of the vehicles we’ll be seeing in Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer – something the old Modern Warfare 2 maps this shooter is adapting weren’t necessarily designed to facilitate. While we’re largely expecting these to be limited to larger-scale maps, we could see some additions made to the classic locations we know and love to help faciliate this.
But, only time will tell; when we get a chance to check out the upcoming MW3 beta maps, we should get a better sense of what to expect.
Is Modern Warfare 3 really going to be one of the best competitive FPS games out there when it arrives? Well, we don’t know just yet, but it does look like a lot of fun. All the MW3 maps will be locations we know and love, the MW3 weapons will be more complex than ever with new Gunsmith Aftermarket parts, and – of course – we’re getting MW3 Zombies.
If you want to make sure you’re one of the first to play, you can find out more about the MW3 beta dates right here. You can get free MW3 beta codes depending on your phone network, and the MW3 beta size isn’t actually as bad as you might think. So, looking at this MW3 multiplayer reveal, there’s more than enough reason to give this upcoming game a go when you can. Who knows, it might just be your new favorite.
