If you’re excited to jump into Modern Warfare 3 as soon as you can, you’re going to want to make sure you have access to the upcoming MW3 beta. With a chance to get hands-on with the new gameplay and (some of the) new guns, this is going to be great for fans of Call of Duty. If you want to know what the MW3 beta maps are ahead of time, you’ll be pleased to know that we now know what to expect – and, of course, they’re all fantastic.

Following the Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer reveal trailer, Call of Duty confirms that the MW3 beta maps are the following:

  • Favela
  • Skidrow
  • Estate
  • Rust
  • Highrise (Weekend Two only)

We know it’s way too early to say anything with any sort of certainty, but Modern Warfare 3 could really be one of the best competitive FPS games out there when it launches – provided the MW3 maps haven’t been tampered with too much. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too long to find out whether that’s the case or not; the MW3 beta dates are closer than ever.

If you want beta access, you will be pleased to know that you can get your hands on some free MW3 beta codes – if you’re on the right phone network – here and, as always, there will be an open-access period on all platforms. With the Modern Warfare 3 release date not long after, though, you won’t actually be missing out too much if you don’t get a chance to play during the beta period.

Either way, though, you should check out the latest gameplay footage below; it offers us a fantastic look at some of the content – like the new MW3 weapons and operators – that we have to look forward to.

You might be hard-pressed convicing people that this will be one of the best games for consoles, but Modern Warfare 3 looks like a step in the right direction for long-time fans of the series disinterested with the slower experience on offer in 2022’s Modern Warfare 2. You can find out more about upcoming PS5 games and upcoming Xbox games here, if you’re not as interested in Call of Duty. There’s a lot on offer in the coming months.
