The holiday season isn’t far away, and if you’ve been on the fence about leaping to over the PS5, then the brand-new PS5 Slim model is worth looking into. That’s because rumors surrounding an alleged PS5 Slim release date are emerging, as well as purported plans for Sony to make Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man 2 part of the console’s roll-out.
According to leaker and gaming gear reporter ‘billbil-kun‘, the leaker alleges that PS5 Slim model is set for “for November 10, 2023, in the United States.” This also “coincides with the release date in Japan” according to billbil-kun. However, at present, confirmation as to when the PS5 Slim will release in other regions is yet to be detailed. Given that it is supposedly releasing in the United States and Japan in November, we speculate it could begin to arrive globally by January 2024.
Though word on the release of PS5 Slim plates or other new accessories is still speculative, we do at least know the variety of colors that you can acquire. Furthermore, not only will the console potentially arrive soon, but will feature Spider-Man 2 as its flagship game to include: “This [bundle] will consist of a PS5 Slim with disc reader (without dedicated design), and the game Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.” Now that the Spider-Man 2 release date is finally here, it’ll make an excellent holiday season gift alongside some of the best PS5 accessories or best PS5 headsets currently available.
The leaker affirms Sony’s own confirmation that the new PS5 model will replace the current version, one stock for it has diminished enough over time. In the official announcement for the console, Sony clarifies that “once inventory of the current PS5 model has sold out, the new PS5 will become the only model available.”
While some PS5 owners may have been expecting the arrival of the PS5 Pro model, the arrival of the PS5 Slim model is still a welcome addition for those wanting for a smaller alternative to the heft Sony console.
