A spicy new Helldivers 2 Warbond is on the way to the PS5 exclusive, and its name and banner has already reportedly leaked. The Democratic Detonation Warbond looks to feature some seriously beefy armor, alongside an arsenal purpose-built to hit humanity’s enemies like a monster truck – ‘democracy’ is just ‘demolition’ with a few extra steps, after all.
While we’ve only seen the banner image for the Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation Warbond so far, the big, booming guns from it have already reportedly been leaked. From left to right on the banner, we can see the Adjudicator, CB-9 Exploding Crossbow, and Eruptor. Additionally, we expect the GP-31 Grenade Pistol to finally arrive in one of this year’s best games – you need a sidearm to complete the loadout, after all.
As for the new armor sets, it’s currently unclear what sort of meta-altering bonuses they may bring to the multiplayer game. Considering the theme of the set, we expect to see passive bonuses befitting a grenadier, such as increased grenade capacity.
For the heavy armor, in particular, we’re betting on it getting plenty of explosive damage resistance – just in case you or your buddies have a happy little accident with the new toys purportedly en route. Likewise, with the recent buff to fire damage in the co-op game, we’re hoping to see some flame resistance armor bonuses too – complimenting Cutting Edge’s electricity resistance boosts.
Mirroring the release cadence of other Warbonds, which falls on the second Thursday of the month, the Democratic Detonation Warbond is expected to be released on Thursday, April 11, 2024. If anything like the Cutting Edge Warbond price-wise, we can expect Democratic Detonation to set you back 1,000 Super Credits – let’s hope you’ve been saving, eh?

With an explosive new Warbond set to arrive, alongside the introduction of two new planetary hazards in the latest patch, managing democracy is going to somehow get even more chaotic. Arrowhead has just randomly gifted the bots AT-AT-like Automatons, too, so the extra firepower from the new Warbond is definitely going to be welcomed.
