Despite each character having their own abilities, the way to unlock all Momentum Abilities in Gotham Knights is the same for Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood. These abilities are unlocked in the following ways:
- Complete your character’s Knighthood Challenges
- Play mission 1.4 Blackgate Blues (unlocked during mission)
- Complete Guard Breaker challenge
- Play mission 3.2 Chelsea Tunnel (unlocked during mission)
- Complete mission 3.2 Chelsea Tunnel
- Play mission 4.2 The Orchard Hotel (unlocked during mission)
- Complete the side activity stories for Tim, Dick, Barbara, and Jason, up to the one you unlock at the start of Case File 7
These are the seven ways you can unlock the abilities in the game. Your eighth ability is already unlocked as soon as you pick up the character for the first time, so you only need to unlock seven of them.
The majority of these are unlocked in the missions in the game so all you need to do is play through the story to get them naturally. But, completing the Guard Breaker challenge is also quite easy to do. The Knighthood Challenges though are more of a chore than they are hard and you will need to do frustrating tasks like finding Premeditated Crimes. But, the reward for finishing them is the Ultimate Momentum Ability, which is extremely powerful.
However, the process of unlocking them is definitely not the longest in the game if you are planning on completely clearing Gotham of stuff to do.
