EA Sports’ next major FC 24 Ultimate Team promo is finally upon us and it’s a big one, even though leaks mean we’ve known a little bit about it beforehand. Not only are sensational soccer stars like Lionel Messi and Karim Benzema headlining the upcoming FC 24 Radioactive promo, but these unique player items will also have special chemistry boosts when they’re available – which should make slipping them into your existing squads easier than ever.
FC 24 is easily one of the best soccer games out we’ve seen from EA Sports so far and part of why this year has proven so successful for the sports game, despite the name change from FIFA to FC, is all the new – and mostly fantastic – Ultimate Team promos we’ve been able to enjoy throughout the year. From the FC 24 Triple Threat improving upon several FC 24 Heroes to the FC 24 Pundit Picks promo promising some special players from the Premier League and La Liga, EA Sports really has upped its game when it comes to keeping promos fresh this year. And, of course, that continues with the Radioactive promo.
As you can see below, following an announcement from EA Sports at 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST / 18:00 GMT on December 1, we now know that the FC 24 Radioactive promo player leaks were right and MLS star Lionel Messi is lining up alongside players like Chelsea’s Sam Kerr and even ex-Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki in a limited-time promo that promises some fantastic options when it comes to squad-building.

Now, while a lot of the players on that list would make fine additions to any squad out there – and there are some of the best FC 24 strikers and best FC 24 wingers on that list, too – a lot of these players look like they would be quite hard to fit into a squad that builds chemistry on nationality. Szoboszlai is Hungarian, Gvardiol is Croatian, and Kvartskhelia is Georgian – they’re not nationalities you see too often in the top five leagues.
Thankfully, though, these Radioactive players items are going to feature unique chemistry boosters which should eliminate that problem. Each Radioactive player item is going to start on two chemistry – provided they’re in the right position on the pitch – and they will contribute two chemistry points – rather than one – to the players around them. We know, in reality, managers build squads around key players all the time, but now you’re going to be able to do the same – to an extent – in FC 24. If you want a Radioactive player item to hit three chemistry, all you need to do is have a manager item or a player from the same league in your squad and they should then hit full chemistry.
If you’re wondering, though, which of those player items worth keeping an eye out for, then (aside from the obvious picks like Messi, Benzema, Kerr, and Valverde) you should really be trying to get your hands on Mazouri, Oshoala, Zaha, and Weah. All four of these players have over 90 PAC and decent stats outside of that and the fact that Zaha and Weah are both among the lower-rated players in this promo should mean you’re more likely to pack them.
In addition to that, Szoboszlai would make for an excellent attacking CM with 87 PAC, 88 SHO, and 89 PAS alongside Zinchenko – a full-back with 85 DEF and 80 PHY isn’t as common as you might think. With the right squad around them, these could be among the best FC 24 CM players and best FC 24 LB players out there right now.
