FC 24 Heroes gives late Juventus icon their Marvel Avengers moment

The first wave of FC 24 Heroes have been announced, with five of the most iconic players of all time getting their hero moment in the upcoming soccer game.

FC 24 Heroes first cast: Vialli

The first batch of EA FC 24 Heroes have been revealed, and EA has once again teamed up with Marvel to project some of the beautiful game’s most legendary figures into hero-esque forms that would make even the Avengers look on in admiration. And the late, great Gianluca Vialli is getting some particularly special EA FC 24 treatment.

Having been handed a 91 overall rating, Vialli isn’t only one of the best EA FC 24 Heroes featured in the announcement, but will start the EA FC 24 Ultimate Team season as one of the best EA FC 24 strikers – it might be time to get those EA FC 24 pre-orders in. According to an EA press release, a series of initiatives are also set to be delivered in conjunction with former club Juventus to “celebrate his legacy”.

During his time on the pitch, Vialli represented Cremonese, Sampdoria, and Juventus in Serie A, before transferring to the Premier League’s Chelsea in 1996. While playing, Vialli won everything from the FA Cup, to Seria A, to the Champions League. After hanging up his boots and donning the managerial suit, Vialli coached Chelsea to several accolades, before spending the 2001/02 season – his final year in the game – managing Watford.

Here are the five FC 24 Heroes announced in the first wave, as well as the clubs they won the Champions League with:

  • Alex Scott (Arsenal) – 88
  • Bixente Lizarazu (Bayern Munich) – 90
  • Carlos Tévez (Manchester United) – 90
  • Gianluca Vialli (Juventus) – 91
  • Wesley Sneijder (Inter Milan) – 91

Alongside Vialli, Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder – the most capped Dutchman of all time – has also been given a 91 rating. Moving down the ratings we have former Bayern Munich and Bordeaux left-back Bixente Lizarazu and Manchester’s favourite Argentinian Carlos Tévez, both of which are sporting 90 ratings on their super cards. Last but by no means least is UWCL winner and former Arsenal right-back Alex Scott, who is rated at 88 overall.

Needless to say, picking which Hero to snap up first is going to be a tough task for those who pre-order, though as a life-long Gooner I think it’s safe to say who I’m cashing in on. Each card is going to be absolutely stacked stat-wise, so be sure to pick your poison carefully.

While you’re patiently awaiting the EA FC 24 release date, be sure to check out some of the other new and returning elements coming to this year’s game, including EA FC 24 Career Mode and EA FC 24 Ultimate Team Evolutions. If you’ve got a hankering to pick up your controller, then treat yourself to one of the best soccer games in the meantime. See you pitch side.
