What are the Destiny 2 Season of the Wish weapons? There’s nothing a Guardian loves more than firepower, and the Destiny 2 Season 23 weapons list adds a varied new batch of guns to collect. From overgrown Vex-themed weapons to guns from the royal armory of the Dreaming City, we’ve collected all the Destiny 2 Season of the Wish weapons and the god roll for each one so you know what to keep and what to throw away.
Even with the Vault being more accessible than ever in Destiny 2 Season of the Wish, you won’t have room to store everything (though we wish we could). Instead, we have to focus on the best Destiny 2 weapons and best Destiny 2 PvP weapons, and the Destiny 2 Season 23 weapons have some heavy hitters worth chasing, including the Destiny 2 Wisk-Keeper Exotic. After all, the Witness is still looming, so we’ve got to be prepared by the time the Destiny 2 The Final Shape release date does eventually arrive.
Destiny 2 Season of the Wish weapons
The Destiny 2 Season of the Wish weapons are:
Generally, the Season 23 weapons can be earned by completing the new Seasonal activities, Riven’s Lair and The Coil, and by redeeming Wish Engrams. During the Season, you’ll get plenty of these weapon drops as they’re not all too hard to come by, especially as the Season progresses and more reward upgrades are made available.
With that said, you’ll want to be on the lookout for red-border versions of the Season of the Wish weapons. Why? So that you can skip the search for a god roll and instead craft your own. It’s by no means a perfect solution, but a crafted weapon gives you much easier access to the best rolls.
If you’re looking to get your hands on all of the Destiny 2 Season of the Wish weapons, whether standard or red-border variants, you’ll want to grind the new activities and complete the Season 23 daily and weekly bounties to level up the rewards track with Riven. This will give you bonus Engrams and other loot that can be redeemed for weapons. You’ll even be able to unlock the eye-catching Gloaming Journeyer sparrow at rank 16 too, so it’s a win-win.
It’s also worth noting that, like previous Seasons, the Season 23 weapons are split into two categories – Wish weapons and Undying weapons. If you recognise the Undying weapons, that’s because these are actually reprised weapons from way back in Season of the Undying. What makes these different from the Wish weapons, you ask? Well, aside from the cool overgrown Vex appearance, these two categories have two different Origin traits.
The Wish weapon Origin trait is Dragon’s Vengeance:
- When an ally dies or you reach critical health, this weapon’s magazine refills, and it gains bonus range, charge rate, and handling.
The Undying weapon Origin trait is Nano-Munitions:
- Being near allies slowly builds up a partial emergency ammo refill for the next time this weapon runs out of ammo. Emergency ammo amount increases with time spent near allies.

Supercluster
- Slot – Kinetic
- Element – Strand
- Archetype – Shotgun (pinpoint slug)
Supercluster is a pinpoint slug frame shotgun, meaning it has great range and accuracy for a shotgun. When paired with its Origin Trait, Supercluster will be a fun and powerful weapon in the right hands in PvP. Supercluster PvE god roll:

- Assault mag
- Reconstruction
- Vorpal Weapon, Cascade Point, or Hatchling
Supercluster PvP god roll:
Scatter Signal

Appentence is an adaptive frame trace rifle, giving it a well-rounded stat distribution. With lots of great perks, including the Origin Trait, there’s certainly potential for Appentence in both PvE and PvP if you enjoy trace rifles. Unfortunately, it’s the same generally the same old setup for trace rifles in terms of perks, which is a little boring despite how strong they can be.
Appentence PvE god roll:
- Arrowhead Brake
- Tactical Battery
- Demolitionist
- Headstone or One For All
Appentence PvP god roll:
Lethophobia
- Slot – Special
- Element – Void

Scalar Potential is a rapid-fire pulse rifle that performs much like existing weapons in its category. However, if you don’t have Horror’s least or Oversoul Edict, then you should definitely keep an eye on Scalar Potential for some PvP action. Remember, it’s a Wish weapon so it comes with the great Dragon’s Vengeance Origin Trait.
Scalar Potential PvE god roll:
- Arrowhead Brake
- Accurized Rounds
- Keep Away
- Headseeker or Golden Tricorn
Sclar Potential PvP god roll:
Doomed Petitioner
- Slot – Heavy
- Element – Void
- Archetype – Linear fusion rifle (aggressive frame)
The Doomed Petitioner is likely going to be a popular choice for both PvE and PvP due to the high damage output and ammo efficiency. It’s also able to drop with some really strong perk combinations, so it’s a good pick-up for those lacking boss-tanking weapons or a PvP laser.
Doomed Petitioner PvE god roll:
- Arrowhead Brake
- Accelerated Coils
- Envious Assassin
- Precision Instrument or Golden Tricorn
Doomed Petitioner PvP god roll:
Imperative

So, if you’re a PvP player looking for a competitive scout rifle, then it’s time to get your hands on the upgraded Imperative in Season 23.
Imperative PvE god roll:
- Arrowhead Brake
- Accurized Rounds
- Triple Tap, Keep Away, or Demolitionist

- Golden Tricorn or Swashbuckler
Adhortative
- Slot – Special
- Element – Solar
- Archetype – Pulse rifle (adaptive frame)
The Adhortative is an adaptive frame pulse rifle, making it a great all-rounder. While it’s more than effective in PvE, where Adhortative really shines is PvP. With a fresh batch of perks available with its return in Season 23, there are more ways to build it than ever.
Adhortative PvE god roll:
- Arrowhead Brake

- Heal Clip or Feeding Frenzy
- Incandescent, Headseeker, or Golden Tricorn
Adhortative PvP god roll:
Optative
- Slot – Special
