While many were hoping for Wrath of the Machine in Season of the Witch, Crota’s End is certainly more fitting with the theme of the season. However, that doesn’t mean the beloved Wrath of the Machine raid won’t return in the future, as we expect there to be another reprised raid drop after the Destiny 2 The Final Shape release date.

Destiny 2 Crota’s End Exotic weapon

The Destiny 2 Crota’s End Exotic weapon is the Necrochasm auto rifle, likely obtained as a random drop from the final boss, Crota himself, rather than an extensive quest like its original appearance in D1.

With a blisteringly fast 900 RPM rate of fire and the ability to trigger explosions of defeating foes, Necrochasm could be a powerful Exotic once again, though it could have some perks tweaked for its reprisal. Finger’s crossed this weapon will be worth chasing, as luck isn’t on everyone’s side and could take some players lots of runs to earn. However, it’s also expected to come with a Catalyst to augment and enhance its performance.

Destiny 2 Crota’s End armor

Destiny 2 will see the return of the iconic Crota’s End armor set, as seen in the trailer for the reprised raid in Season 22. That’s right, players can finally earn the incredibly stylish and unique armor set from the original Crota’s End raid, including with the stunning Age of Triumph armor glows.

Crota’s End armor drops will be rewards for completing encounters, with each encounter offering a different selection of potential loot drops. So, if you’re looking to get your hands on the eye-catching Destiny 2 Crota’s End armor set, then you’ll have to farm the raid at least a few times to get the full set.

Destiny 2 Crota’s End weapons

The Destiny 2 Crota’s End weapons are set to include:

  • Word of Crota – Hand Cannon
  • Fang of Ir Yut – Scout Rifle
  • Light of the Abyss – Fusion Rifle
  • Swordbreaker – Shotgun
  • Black Hammer – Sniper Rifle
  • Song of Ir Yut – Machine Gun
  • Hunger of Crota – Rocket Launcher

Given all the new archetypes and elements added since the original release of the Crota’s End raid, the reprised version could feature updated weapons, such as altered elements or stats to keep them up to date with the current suite of weapons. At the very least, we know that the Crota’s End weapons in Destiny 2 will have an updated perk pool and an origin trait, so they can drop with new perks, even if the base stats are unchanged.

That covers everything you need to know to be prepared for the Season 22 reprised raid ahead of the Destiny 2 Crota’s End release date and time, including raid race details and all the loot you can chase. Besides the tried and true best weapons in the game, there’s also some new contenders in Season 22 with the Destiny 2 Season of the Witch Exotic armor and the Destiny 2 Ex Diris grenade launcher that could come in handy. If you’ve got your Destiny 2 The Final Shape pre-order in, then the Destiny 2 Tessellation will also be useful as you take on Crota’s End. It’s worth getting your hands on these so you can at least have them at the ready.
