You can no longer get the TEC-9 in Warzone because this version of the game was shut down. However, this guide will be updated and will come in handy if the TEC-9 ever returns.
Trying to choose the right SMG in Call of Duty: Warzone during the Black Ops Cold War era was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. There was simply so much choice, and Cold War Season 5 brought another meta option to the table – the TEC-9.
This was the first time this pocket gun had been included in a Call of Duty game before, and it made a name for itself in the Warzone meta. Once you had unlocked the TEC-9 for yourself, it wasn’t hard to see why.
Sadly, with the discontinuation of Black Ops Cold War integration with Warzone, the TEC-9 is no longer available in the battle royale mode. However, with old favorites often returning to the game after years away, there’s a chance it could show its face again, in which case you’ll be glad to know the best TEC-9 build ahead of time.
TEC-9 Warzone loadout
The best Warzone TEC-9 build was:
- Full Auto Repeater
- 7.3″ Reinforced Heavy
- Ember Sighting Point
- Bruiser Grip
- Speed Tape
This was the best TEC-9 Warzone loadout we had used during its heyday. This combination of attachments really helped boost your damage range while helping keep your recoil in check, pushing the effective range of this deadly SMG further than you would have expected for such a small weapon.
The Full Auto Repeater allowed you to stick the TEC-9 on full-auto, and, honestly, it was a game changer. The 7.3″ barrel boosted the damage range and velocity, the Bruiser Grip increased movement speed and hip fire accuracy, and the Speed Tape decreased your aim down sight time. This was then finished off with the Salvo 48-Round Fast Mag, which gave you a bit of extra ammo to play with. When paired with the full-auto mode, this was a very welcome addition.
Ideally, you wanted to pair the TEC-9 with a long-range assault rifle. We recommended trying the C58 Warzone loadout at the time.
TEC-9 Warzone loadout perks and equipment
To complete your TEC-9 Warzone loadout, you needed to select three perks and two pieces of equipment.
Warzone Season 5 also added two new perks into the mix and this loadout used it to full effect. We paired the TEC-9 with Double Time, Tempered, and Combat Scout.
For equipment, we recommended sticking with the trusted Heartbeat Sensor and Semtex Grenades to help you flush out opponents when they bunkered down.
