Trying to choose the right SMG for Call of Duty: Warzone is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. There’s so much choice these days, and in Warzone Season 5, that choice is being extended with the TEC-9.
This is the first time this pocket gun has been included in a Call of Duty game before, and, if you’re unfamiliar with it, it’s basically a semi-automatic SMG which sports two muzzles that can alter its fire type. It has pretty good range at distance with a lower recoil and slower fire rate. But it can also be pretty deadly up close – especially if you’re a hyper-aggressive player.
Like all new Warzone weapons, the TEC-9 is proving to be a bit of a beast online. Players who’ve completed the TEC-9 unlock are finding the SMG can eliminate enemies in three bursts anywhere within ten metres, which is pretty damn impressive.
With that in mind then, what is the best TEC-9 Warzone loadout and what perks should you run with it? Here’s everything you need to know.
TEC-9 Warzone loadout
- Full Auto Repeater
- 7.3″ Reinforced Heavy
- Ember Sighting Point
- Bruiser Grip
- Speed Tape
This is the best TEC-9 Warzone loadout we’ve seen so far. It’s obviously very early days for Season 5, so we’ll update this section if we see any major changes. However, this combination of attachments really helps boost your damage range while helping keep your recoil in check.
The Full Auto Repeater allows you to stick the TEC-9 on full-auto, and, honestly, it’s a game changer. The 7.3″ barrel boosts the damage range and velocity, the Bruiser Grip increases movement speed and hip fire accuracy, and the Speed Tape decreases your aim down sight time. This is then finished off with the Salvo 48 Rnd Fast Mag, which gives you a bit of extra ammo to play with.
Ideally you’ll want to pair this with a long-range assault rifle. We’d recommend trying the C58 Warzone loadout for this.
TEC-9 Warzone loadout perks and equipment
To complete your TEC-9 Warzone loadout, you’ll need to select three perks and two pieces of equipment.
Warzone Season 5 has added two new perks into the mix and this loadout uses it. You’ll want to pair Double Time with Tempered and Combat Scout.
For equipment, we’d recommend sticking with the trusted Heartbeat Sensor and Semtex Grenades.
