You can no longer get the TEC-9 in Warzone because this version of the game was shut down. However, this guide will be updated and will come in handy if the TEC-9 ever returns. It is still available in Black Ops Cold War multiplayer via the in-game challenge.
Call of Duty: Warzone got yet another new SMG in Season 5 of Black Ops Cold War – the TEC-9. Despite being quite an iconic weapon in both the real world and in other FPS titles, this was the first time the TEC-9 had ever been in a Call of Duty title. It’s hard to believe there are still guns that haven’t made it into a CoD game even today…
Like all new arsenal additions in Call of Duty, the TEC-9 was also an unbalanced monster when it was unleashed upon Verdansk back in August 2021. It even topped the charts of the best Warzone guns too.
Despite its pedigree though, you can no longer get or use the TEC-9 in Warzone now that the battle royale is no longer integrated with Black Ops Cold War. With that said, you can still go back and get it in the traditional multiplayer modes of Cold War if you’re looking for a blast from the past.
TEC-9 Warzone unlock
The TEC-9 could be unlocked in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War by reaching Tier 31 on the Season 5 battle pass. This was free to accomplish for all players and just required some XP grinding.
You could also purchase the battle pass in full if you were desperate to get your hands on it right away, but getting to level 31 wasn’t too much of a grind.
Again, the TEC-9 is no longer available in Warzone. However, if you’re heading back to Black Ops Cold War today, years after release, then there is a simple unlock challenge for you to complete. This TEC-9 unlock challenge requires you to get two headshot kills in a match, 15 times.
That’s how you could unlock the TEC-9 in Warzone when it was ruling the Warzone meta, as well as how you can get it in Black Ops Cold War.
