PlayStation owners can look forward to enjoying new Modern Warfare 3 cosmetics soon, and the best part is it won’t be you back a single cent. Following the launch of MW3 Season 3, Activision is giving PS Plus subscribers access to a fresh MW3 Combat Pack to use across the latest Call of Duty and its battle royale spin-off Warzone.
But you might miss out on this freebie for this ever-popular FPS game franchise if you’re not careful. We recommend keeping Wednesday, April 10, 2024, marked down somewhere, as that’s when PS4 and PS5 players will be able to claim the Call of Duty Sapphire Combat Pack.
Like previous packs for Modern Warfare 3, you’ll get access to a brand-new operator skin, this time for Lockpick, and cosmetics for some of the best MW3 guns available. The bundle’s arrival is alongside the currently live MW3 Prime Gaming bundle, which also outfits your inventory with more visual touch-ups for your MW3 loadouts. If you’re looking for a detailed run-down of what the Combat Pack includes, here’s what you can look forward to claiming:
- Cerulean Enigma (weapon charm)
- Cobalt Conspirator (calling card)
- Azure Avenger (weapon sticker)
- Starry Nightmare (Lockpick operator skin)
- Rembrandt Rifle (assault rifle blueprint)
- Raphael Rival (SMG blueprint)
- Anonymous Artist (emblem)
We reckon that this bundle looks like an improvement over the previous Combat Pack, and given the price of recent COD store bundles, a freebie is always appreciated. However, if you haven’t added the Decomposition Combat Pack to your cosmetic library yet, then you’re in luck.
PS Plus subscribers can still claim now until April 10 rolls around. Whether you’re using it in MW3 multiplayer, MW3 Zombies, or battle royale game spin-off Warzone, you’ll be flexing items that Xbox players can’t acquire. That’s if boasting about your COD skins is your thing. There’s no judgment from us here, of course.
Additionally, from Thursday, April 18, 2024, until Friday, April 19, 2024, PlayStation players will get double XP. You’ll be able to put that to good use in MW3 Season 3, which brings you a remaster of an old map you’ve likely never heard of. We’re thrilled that this long-awaited feature for camos has finally arrived, too.
In other gaming news, Warzone Bootcamp is a new mode to help improve your skills on the battlefield, and this controller from Nacon could be worth adding to your PS5 setup.
