If you want to know what you can play on your Xbox in the coming months beyond Xbox Game Pass staples like Starfield and Forza Motorsport, you’ll be pleased to know that Xbox is shining a light on some of its third-party development partners through a brand new showcase format: the Xbox Partner Preview. If you want to know what you can expect to see at this short showcase, here’s everything we know about all the games at the Xbox Partner Preview showcase.
When you stop to think about it, there really is quite a few new Xbox games on the way. From the more immediate Alan Wake 2 release date, to the more distant Stalker 2 release date, players have a lot to look forward to on Xbox. If, though, you’ve tried all the best Xbox Game Pass games and you’re more interested in what’s coming up in the future, you’re going to want to tune into Xbox’s new showcase – which is being broadcast very soon. What’s even more interesting, though, is that it’s going to focus on third-party developers, so PlayStation players have a reason to watch as well.
As per this Xbox Wire report on the showcase, Xbox is going to digitally broadcast the first Xbox Partner Preview on October 25 at 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST / 18:00 BST across all of it’s Xbox owned channels. Expected to last a little over 20 minutes, this showcase is going to present players with a fresh look at games like Alan Wake 2, Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth, and Dungeons of Hinterberg – among others. Ark Survival Ascended, a seemingly complete edition of Ark Survival Evolved, is going to feature; we don’t know if this means we’ll learn any more about the Ark 2 release date, but we don’t think we will if we’re seeing Ark Survival Ascended.
It’s also going to highlight some upcoming Xbox Game Pass games, you’ll be pleased to know. Although, Xbox isn’t sharing any details about that just yet. You can check out all the Xbox Game Pass games already available here, if you want to start checking off some games from your wishlist.
If you want to watch it, the best place would be on the Xbox YouTube channel here, or the Xbox Twitch channel right here. There’s also an Xbox Twitch channel with ASL you can check out right here, if you’re someone who needs that – or is trying to learn.
You can also prepare yourself for any surprises with Xbox Game Pass; details on that can be found below, if you don’t know what it’s all about.
Do we think we’ll actually get any surprises, though? Sure, we think a couple of interesting additions to the selection of Xbox Game Pass games available is a fair estimate – maybe even a specific release date for an upcoming game. We don’t think we’ll see any new games revealed, though, as much as we would like to learn more about Bethesda’s new Indiana Jones game or IO Interactive’s 007 title. The Game Awards is just over a month away, and seeing those there seems more likely.
One thing Xbox has made clear, though, is that this stream will not be addressing anything specific to Microsoft’s recent acquisition of Activision Blizzard. We know Xbox is ready to shine a light on older Activision IPs with Game Pass, and Xbox is beginning it’s work to bring Activision titles to the service already, but it looks like you’re going to have to wait a little longer for more information on that.
