Valorant has had a tremendous year but developer Riot Games is still dropping bombshells. Agents like Chamber, Viper, and Sage dominate the game, but the developer has officially confirmed who the most-played agent is in 2022. Brace yourselves.
According to a post on social media, Reyna is the most-played agent in 2022 for Valorant players. You may have hoped to see the likes of Fade and Raze climb up the ladder, but Reyna is stomping the competition when it comes to pick rates.
As per Valorant Tracker, Reyna currently tops the charts with an impressive 12.2% pick rate. Of course, this data only accounts for the past two weeks of play, but it certainly seems to support the Twitter post.
Getting even more granular with it, Blitz’s Valorant agent tracking stats reveal that Reyna is currently more popular in lower elo tiers, where solo impact is more likely to net you wins than opting for co-ordinated play.
This is significant because, as Esports Tales’ ranked distribution breakdown shows us, the majority of players sit somewhere between Silver and low Platinum. As such, it’s unsurprising that even Chamber cannot touch the Empress when it comes to time spent on the Valorant maps.
The fourth duelist in Valorant’s roster, Reyna’s Leer ability makes her a valuable asset for affecting enemy vision. Pair that with Devour, her rapid healing ability, and well – you’re off to the races.
Whether you’re using Reyna or not, Riot already plans to start 2023 with a bang, as it confirmed that Split is back. With the recent addition of Valorant on Game Pass too, many will hope for a Valorant console release date in 2023 as well. Before Split drops though, here’s when the Valorant squad boost bonus XP ends.
