How to use Zonai devices in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

To use Zonai devices in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you need to have a charged Zonai Energy Cell. You’ll need to use Zonai Charges to refill your Energy Cell faster, or let it refill automatically. That being said, some Zonai devices like the Portable Pot don’t require Zonai Energy.

After completing the In-Isu Shrine, a Steward Construct will give you the Zonai Energy Cell. Use Zonai Charges in the inventory to refill the energy cell, then hit a Zonai device once (in most cases) to activate the unique property of the device used.

Using the Ultrahand ability with the various Zonai devices, such as fans, will let you creativity shine by letting you select objects and position them. Move them into the desired position until they stick on. You can then exit the ability and interact with them, often by hitting the Zonai device with your weapon to activate it.

Note that Zonai devices stored in Zonai capsules require you to first take them out of their capsules in your inventory. Once a device has been taken out of its device capsule, it cannot be put back in.

This way, you’re not at the whims of the devices that are in the material caches around the world. However, once taken out of their respective Zonai device capsule, they cannot be put back in.
