Zelda Tears of the Kingdom amiibo support

A variety of The Legend of Zelda related amiibo and non Zelda amiibo are supported in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Though they will grant different rewards:

  • Zelda related amiibo will drop the respective items in the list above
  • Non Zelda amiibo will likely drop an array of materials, ingredients, and currency, as was the case in Breath of the Wild

To check which amiibo are considered The Legend of Zelda amiibo, check out the official Nintendo website and filter the ‘game series’ to ‘The Legend of Zelda’. This will display all Zelda amiibo, even ones that are not part of the Zelda collection, such as the Super Smash Bros. Zelda characters.

How to scan amiibo in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

To scan amiibo in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom hold the amiibo figure over the right control stick to scan it. This will register the amiibo in the game and provide you with the various rewards.

If Breath of the Wild set the precedent, you will only be able to scan each amiibo figure once per day. This stops players from farming the amiibo rewards and breaking the progression systems in the game. You will need to complete the game’s first Shrine too.
