Shroud makes Starfield “like Call of Duty” as his dark side emerges

Abiding by the rules in Starfield isn't on the agenda for former CSGO pro shroud, as the Twitch star channels Call of Duty energy in the Bethesda RPG.

It can be tempting to see what happens in Starfield if you break the rules. Some of us may prefer to be law-abiding citizens, and some of you may choose to side with deadly Starfield factions. Well for Twitch legend Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek, the popular Escape From Tarkov streamer decides to see what happens if he brings some Call of Duty energy to space.

Across his adventures in Starfield, shroud appears to already be using some of the best Starfield weapons available. But when there aren’t any spacers or bounty hunters to dispose of, where do you test out a powerful arsenal? Well, while roaming the streets of Neon, shroud tells his Twitch audience to “hold on, I just need to know,” before quicksaving the game.

Declaring this experiment to be “for science”, shroud tosses a grenade into an unsuspecting crowd of Neon citizens and unleashes a barrage of gunfire. Immediately racking up a bounty worth 15,650, shroud it is “fucking like COD”, as he mows down civilians with his assault rifle, echoing the controversial No Russian mission from Modern Warfare 2 (2009). Laughing off his brief assault on Neon, the Twitch star earns an achievement for his rampage.

Though shroud’s stream setup doesn’t show the achievement on screen, a quick look on TrueAchievements points toward the achievement called ‘Dark Matter’, which is earned by eliminating 300 human enemies. As there aren’t any other achievements that fit the bill for shroud’s antics, this seems like a prime candidate.

Of course, there is more to Starfield than just causing havoc across all of the Starfield planets. We recommend putting your time into earning the best Starfield skills, which can help you get out of a pinch with words or weapons. Using a bit of Starfield persuasion will help with the former.

The game also contains a vast amount of lore to get stuck into, and like us, you probably want to know what happened to Earth in Starfield – that’s why we’ve cooked up a nifty guide to help.
