Mortal Kombat 1 roster leaks signal return of Deadly Alliance favorite

The list of MK1 fighters grows as new Mortal Kombat 1 roster leaks signal the arrival of an overlooked fighter from NetherRealm Studios' past.

MK1 fighters full roster leak nitara

New and old faces are heading into the arena in Mortal Kombat 1. If you’re wondering who round out the list of Mortal Kombat 1 characters, then these new Mortal Kombat 1 fighter leaks aren’t to be missed. While NetherRealm Studios throws favorites like Sub-Zero and Liu Kang back into the mix, this once popular Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance kombatant is set to make a gory return.

According to a recent leak from modding enthusiast ‘thethiny‘ on social media, they are in possession of an early copy of Mortal Kombat 1 for Nintendo Switch. Not only are they playing the game ahead of the Mortal Kombat 1 release date, but are proceeding to share the game’s full fighter roster, which includes MK Deadly Alliance character Nitara. Thetiny’s screenshot doesn’t highlight the character’s name, but their appearance and demonic wings make it more than obvious that Nitara is back with a vengeance.

This particular fighter hasn’t been seen properly in a Mortal Kombat game since MK Armageddon, and only made a brief cameo in Mortal Kombat 11.  Armageddon was released in 2006, so Nitara’s fully fledged return to the franchise marks a significant chunk of time passing. The character is still appreciated by MK fans, though, and even appeared in the recent Mortal Kombat movie.

Nitara is a vampire, but her morally complex perspective factors in to how she feasts on potential prey.

If you’re unaware of Nitara in the wider Mortal Kombat universe, then this handy mini-documentary by YouTuber ‘History Behind The Warrior’ will get you up to speed quickly. The possibilities are exciting when it comes to exploring the game’s roster, and Mortal Kombat 1 Kameo Fighters make battles all the more action-packed.

I’ve personally experienced what the game has to offer from Invasions mode and the first chapter of the story at Gamescom, so don’t forget to check out The Loadout’s Mortal Kombat 1 preview while you wait to get your hands on it. Oh, and you can also see what Dave Baustista thinks of it too. Yes, Drax himself.

There’s strong potential for NetherRealm Studios to drop one of the best fighting games that 2023 has to offer, though it will have to content with Tekken 8 when it eventually arrives. For now, this is what you need to know about Mortal Kombat 1 fatalities – and there are plenty of them to master.
