If you’ve been hopping aboard the Astral Express in Honkai Star Rail, then you’ll know that developer miHoYo is preparing to give players a completely fresh playable character in the future. Huohuo is a new Honkai Star Rail character set to arrive in a future update, and you don’t have to wait too long to get a glimpse of them. Here’s what you need to know, following recent leaks.
There are heaps of Honkai Star Rail characters to become acquainted with, but if you’re ready to try a new Honkai Star Rail build, then Huohuo could be what you’re after in one of the best RPG games around. A new leak via Redditor ‘uraume’ reveals a look at the forthcoming character, depicting them trying to survive on the streets. The image, which originally comes from Honkai Star Rai leaker ‘stepleaker’, is leading to speculation about Huohuo’s circumstances within the game’s lore.
“This cutscene might be where she meet the Heliobi, since her tail looks normal here and looks like she’s much younger than the splash art we got for her,” theorizes Redditor ‘AnteaterHaunting7056’. The Heliobi are an energy-based species that take are often referred to as The Shapeless, but can take the form of flames from time to time. In this form, they are able to speak, but their true nature comes from feeding off the emotions of a human host through the nervous system. Pretty chilling stuff.
Furthermore, transcribed voice lines can be observed through another stepleaker leak, with Huohuo referring to an interaction with Mr Tail – which is referring to her tail that is infused with a Heliobi. Hopefully, Huohuo’s situation improves once she arrives in Honkai Star Rail, which could be before the end of the year.
Though HoyoVerse is yet to specify a release date for the character, we know that they are officially part of the upcoming update 1.5 for the game, which could be deployed around November.
Hailing from the Path of Abundance, Huohuo is a judge-in-training at the Ten Lords Commission, who specializes in catching ghosts. However, she is quite shy in nature. She will be voiced by Courtney Lin and Adam Michael Gold, respectively, when it comes to the English dub of the game.
