How to unlock and get the Draupnir Spear in God of War Ragnarok
The Draupnir Spear in God of War Ragnarok can be unlocked during the main story quest: Forging Destiny. In this quest, you will visit Svartfheim with Brok and visit the Lady of the Forge who will gift you the spear. As mentioned this is a part of the main story quest about two-thirds of the way through the game, so there is no way to miss picking it up.
The Draupnir Spear is the only new weapon in the game that isn’t a shield. It is the most versatile of weapons in Kratos’ arsenal with both close-quarters and ranged options. You can throw the spear to have them explode when you want. But, in addition, the close-quarters options available focus on building up stun bars. You can also siphon elements from enemies with the spear.
Overall, the Draupnir Spear might be the best weapon in the game. The Axe and Blades do have their role, but a skilled spear user can do most of what the axe and blades can do. But, it will take mastering the weapon to really be able to do the best with it.
