When is the Final Fantasy 16 demo release date? Eight years after the release of the last mainline Final Fantasy game, excitement for Final Fantasy 16 has never been higher and players are on the edge of their seats, wanting to just get a taste of what the game has to offer before the full release.

While the Final Fantasy 16 release date is set for June 22, a demo has been confirmed by Yoshi-P, the RPG game’s director, which will allow players to get to grips with the game’s combat and meet the various Final Fantasy 16 characters. Square Enix is also pretty generous with the demos it develops and releases, so you can expect Final Fantasy 16 to be the same.

Final Fantasy 16 demo release date

The Final Fantasy 16 demo release date for PS5 will launch on June 12, 2023, at 1 am PDT, 4 am EDT, 9 am BST, 10 am CEST. The demo contains two hours of content and save data will transfer over to the full game.

The demo is pretty heavy on cutscenes as it is the prologue, but you can unlock a special battle demo after completing the prologue.

The planned demo’s release during this period was confirmed by Yoshi-P in a Famitsu interview ahead of the official reveal (translated by @Genki_JPN on Twitter).

While you wait for the Final Fantasy 16 release, you can get acquainted with some of the features the full game will offer including the Final Fantasy 16 Hideaway, which acts as a hub. We also know the Final Fantasy 16 length is pretty long, several dozen hours, so prepare for an extended adventure across Valisthea in what will hopefully be one of the best PS5 RPGs.
