When it comes to how long RPG games can be, we know they can be time sinks, and the Final Fantasy 16 length is nothing different. Most Final Fantasy players will know this, but for new players, you shouldn’t be hoping for a quick one-and-done game you can get done in a weekend.
Thankfully, we know how long it will take to roughly complete Final Fantasy 16 after playing it. So, before you make that Final Fantasy 16 pre-order and adventure off into the world of Valisthea, you can find out how much time you will spend in what is one of the best PS5 RPGs.
Final Fantasy 16 length
Final Fantasy 16 will take 35-40 hours to beat for a story-focused playthrough, which we found during our Final Fantasy 16 review. If you want to complete everything in the game, you are going to spend around 70-90 hours in Valisthea.
This matches what director Hiroshi Takai said in an interview with Everyeye ahead of release. This shouldn’t be a surprise to many. The last major Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy XV, takes around 28 hours to finish the base story, with a full completionist run taking many players over 90 hours to complete, as listed by How Long To Beat. So, Final Fantasy 16 is about the same but with a longer story, due to the many cutscenes you will watch as you get to know the Final Fantasy 16 characters.
So, as you can see the Final Fantasy 16 length is pretty much average for the series, but there’s plenty else to look forward to in the world of Valisthea, including finding out more about the land itself in our Final Fantasy 16 Valishthea guide all the different Final Fantasy 16 Eikons you will battle.
