The Diablo 4 battle pass is one of many new additions to the long-anticipated sequel. Players will have the opportunity to earn stylish new cosmetics and other items, alongside boosts for leveling up the current season’s pass. As such, you will want to know all you can about the Diablo 4 battle pass price, as well as what rewards you can get when the Diablo 4 battle pass release date arrives.

There will be lots to do after you finish the Diablo 4 story and begin jumping into the seasonal content. To have power that matches your new looks, it’s a good idea to get yourself prepared for the Diablo 4 Season 1 release date, taking on some of the tougher Diablo 4 dungeons and defeating the Diablo 4 world bosses that are scattered around Sanctuary.

Diablo 4 battle pass

The first Diablo 4 battle pass releases in July, costing around $9.99 for 90 tiers of rewards, including cosmetics, premium currency, and gameplay boosts.

Blizzard also revealed in a blog post an Accelerated battle pass for 2,800 Platinum (around $24.99) which provides 20 tier skips and an exclusive cosmetic.

There is a free and premium track for players who want to purchase the premium version, or just grab the free rewards. The Diablo 4 Battle Pass and cosmetics shop will not provide any pay-for-power or pay-to-win options. Premium items are purely cosmetic.

The battle pass contains 90 tiers in total, split into 27 free tiers that everyone can unlock, and 63 premium tiers that only players who purchase the premium battle pass will be able to obtain. Each tier has one reward.

Diablo 4 battle pass price

The Diablo 4 battle pass costs 1000 Platinum, which equates to around $9.99. There is also an Accelerated battle pass for 2,800 Platinum, around $24.99, which provides 20 tier skips and an exclusive cosmetic.

The cost of the Diablo 4 battle pass is, therefore, similarly priced to the plethora of other battle passes on the market, such as the FortniteCall of Duty Warzone 2, or Destiny 2 battle passes.

Diablo 4 battle pass rewards

The rewards in the Diablo 4 battle pass are:

  • XP boosts
  • Cosmetic skins for weapons and armor
  • Emotes
  • Ashes
  • Platinum

The large majority of these rewards are just seasonal boosts. For example XP boosts will give you more XP in a season, while Platinum will allow you to contribute toward buying the next premium battle pass or purchasing something from the shop. However, Blizzard has confirmed that there is not enough Platinum in the battle pass to purchase next season’s premium battle pass. So, you will have to put money down every three months, regardless.

You can also get emotes for your character to perform in the game, as well as cosmetic skins, which are likely to be the highest and most sought-after rewards. These will likely have the most visually striking and interesting designs in the whole game, so if style is your goal, then the premium battle pass is designed for you.

When does the Diablo 4 battle pass start?

The Diablo 4 battle pass release date is “mid to late July” on PS5, PS4, Xbox, and PC, as confirmed by Blizzard in a blog post.

Blizzard are yet to reveal the exact release date of Season 1 and the battle pass, though it’s likely it will be Tuesday, July 18, or Tuesday, July 25, 2023. We’ll update this guide when we know more about the Diablo 4 battle pass start date and time.

Where is the Diablo 4 battle pass?

The Diablo 4 battle pass will be available in the Shop when it goes live. However, it has not yet been released, so those who purchased the Deluxe or Ultimate editions will have to wait to access it.

With the launch of the game, many players are wondering where the Diablo 4 battle pass is. This is largely due to the fact that the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game come bundled with the first battle pass, leaving players confused as to how they access this benefit. However, the battle pass is not yet active, and so players will be unable to access it until the launch of Season 1, when the first battle pass is released.

Those who did not purchase the above editions will be able to buy the battle pass separately when the function is launched.

How to level up the Diablo 4 battle pass

You can level up the Diablo 4 battle pass by completing objectives within the Season’s Journey chapters. Each objective completion will reward you with Favor, which is the resource needed to level up the tiers of the battle pass. Favor can also be earned by completing quests, events, and slaying monsters.

Favor is the core resource to seasons in Diablo 4 and it will become one of the things you seek most often while grinding, leveling up your character, and completing and unlocking new Diablo 4 Paragon Boards. We don’t yet know the easiest way to earn Favor in the game but we will have a good idea once the game has been released.

The Season’s Journey chapters are split into seven different sections and effectively act as weekly challenges that will slowly unlock over the course of a Season. For example, some of the objectives Blizzard has revealed include completing any dungeon or finishing a local event.

How long will it take to complete the Diablo 4 battle pass?

The Diablo 4 battle pass will take around 80 hours to complete according to associate game director Joe Piepiora who responded to the question in an interview with PC Gamer.

“The battle pass, when you’re figuring in completing the season journey alongside doing other content in the game, you’re looking at roughly 80 hours worth of time invested to complete the entirety of the battle pass,” Piepiora said. Furthermore, it’s likely that you’ll finish the pass before reaching level 100 on your seasonal character, giving you greater freedom in what you do.

That covers everything about how the Diablo 4 battle pass works, including how much it costs and what rewards are available, in addition to how to level it up. If you pick up the Premium Pass, you’ll be able to dress up your character in your flashy new cosmetics. That way you can show them off in Diablo 4 multiplayer and pair it alongside your best Diablo 4 build for the Diablo 4 classes of your choice.
