There’s a new SMG in Call of Duty Warzone and it’s about to make your life a living hell. Why? Well, to put things plainly, the Marco 5 is a beast. It’s easily one of the best Warzone guns for close-range combat right now and its naturally high mobility is sure to make this weapon a firm favourite of fans looking to shore up their best Warzone loadouts with something quick. If you find yourself struggling, dropping into your next battle royale game with a good Marco 5 Warzone loadout should help.
Described as a “high mobility submachine gun, accurate from the hip with excellent close-range stopping power” on the Call of Duty Blog, the Marco 5 is going to be the perfect weapon for players adopting a run-and-gun strategy and for those tight corridors on Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep. It’s also the first Vanguard SMG to offer the Akimbo proficiency, so having a Marco 5 Warzone loadout to hand is going to be a must.
But, the question of what actually goes into a Marco 5 class build remains. So, keep reading and we’ll let you know what you need to throw into your class and the best attachments for this fast-firing SMG.
Marco 5 Warzone loadout
‘JGOD’, a Call of Duty content creator who crunches the numbers to bring players the best Warzone weapon builds available, has taken a look at the newly-added Marco 5 and thrown together two incredible setups – one with Akimbo and one without.
So, without further ado, let’s get stuck into both of these. Here’s what you need to know to put together the best Marco 5 Warzone loadout:
Marco 5 Warzone loadout (without Akimbo)
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: Imerito 342mm 04P
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: Perfetto Esatta
- Underbarrel: Mark VI Skeletal
- Magazine: 9mm 48 Round Drums
- Ammunition: Subsonic
- Rear Grip: Taped Grip
- Perk 1: Momentum
- Perk 2: Quick
Firstly, you’re going to want to equip the Recoil Booster muzzle attachment – as you might expect – for a boost in fire rate. This will give the weapon more of a kick, but it’s balanced enough by Taped Grip, Perfetto Esatta stock, and the Imerito 342mm 04P barrel.
In addition to this, JGOD has opted to use the 9mm 48 Round Drums. This will slow down your reload speed, but the increased magazine size should mean that you don’t actually need to reload during a firefight. Throwing Momentum and Quick into this loadout will also make this feel light and, as you might imagine, increase general mobility even more alongside the Mark VI Skeletal underbarrel attachment.
Marco 5 Warzone loadout (with Akimbo)
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: Botti 285mm Custom
- Optic: 1229/Slate 3.25x Custom
- Stock: Botti HF Folding
- Underbarrel: N/A
- Magazine: 9mm 48 Round Drums
- Ammunition: Subsonic
- Rear Grip: Pine Tar Grip
- Perk 1: Akimbo
- Perk 2: Quick
Of course, it goes without saying, but the most important part of this build is arguably the Akimbo proficiency you need to equip in the first Perk slot. From here, the weapon is somewhat similar to the build above – but, there are a few changes that you need to make.
The most interesting alteration made by JGOD is the inclusion of the 1299/Slate 3.25x Custom optic. You may be wondering why an Akimbo-equipped SMG needs a scope this large – and you’re not alone. However, this optic attachment actually increases the weapon’s accuracy and recoil control. Coupled with the Botti HF Folding stock and the Botti 285mm Custom barrel, this weapon should have a very manageable hip fire spread. So, you shouldn’t be missing too many of your shots.
Marco 5 Warzone loadout secondary weapons
With the Marco 5, you’re going to want to bring a solid long-range option into battle with you.
That’s why we recommend this NZ-41 Warzone loadout, or this STG44 Warzone loadout, for your class. Both are at the top of the Warzone meta and present themselves as fantastic long-range options for those moments where your foes are a little further away.
Marco 5 Warzone loadout perks and equipment
As an SMG built with speed in mind, you’re going to want to rock Double Time, Overkill, and Amped with this class. Serpentine isn’t the worst option either if you’re looking for more protection, but Double Time will maximise your pace.
Similarly, Combat Scout is a useful tool if you want to make sure you can chase damaged opponents without fears of losing them, but Amped seems like the better option overall.
Looking at the equipment, Throwing Knives or Semtex are the best options for the lethal slot and Stun Grenades or Stims are the best choices for tacticals. A Heartbeat Sensor still has some use, but if you’re charging into buildings guns akimbo, you would be better off with another tactical equipped.
Well, that’s everything there is to know about this Marco 5 Warzone loadout. Is it going to be the next best thing in the battle royale? We can only hope.
