Call of Duty: Warzone update patches C58 no recoil bug and infinite Dead Silence

Three Warzone operators emerge from some smoke, aiming their weapons

Are you one of those Call of Duty: Warzone players who picked up the C58 after hearing the news that the gun basically had no recoil with the Royal & Kross 4x Optic? Well, you’re going to have to make a change to your C58 Warzone loadout following the latest Warzone update.

Raven Software has today announced a series of changes coming to the game following last week’s Season 4 Reloaded update, but don’t worry too much – there’s nothing major. Bug fixes seem to be the flavour of the day, with changes coming in to fix many of the issues caused by the mid-season update.

The first thing Raven’s changed is the C58’s recoil when using the Royal & Kross 4x optic. Warzone creator ‘JGOD’ noticed the recent recoil nerf didn’t apply when using the scope, something Raven was quick to chime in and say would be addressed “soon.” Well, it turns out soon means four days and the gun no longer has the bug.

The infinite Dead Silence bug, which was caused by players using it seconds before the pre-match lobby ends, has also been fixed, along with the Sentry Turret Killstreak icon not displaying when placed on a train.

Those are the three major bug fixes from the patch notes, but it’s also worth noting that Raven has disabled the option to report offensive chat at the moment. It’s apparently linked to a “related crash” but we’re unaware what that is at the moment.

In other words, if you get stuck in a match with someone who’s abusive, the best thing to do would just be to mute them.

So there you have it, all the changes in the latest Warzone patch. There’s nothing in here that’ll really affect the Warzone meta, so all the best Warzone guns are safe from further buffs and nerfs – at least for now.
