Battle rifles are a versatile weapon class, introduced in Warzone 2, which sit somewhere between an assault rifle and a sniper in terms of their mid-long range prowess. The best Warzone 2 TAQ-V loadout is no exception, though it can also do an immaculate job at close quarters.
With a focus on adding extra damage and effective range to take advantage of the TAQ-V’s innately-high accuracy and recoil control, this build will help you mow down anyone that crosses your sightline in Al Mazrah – be it in semi-automatic or fully-automatic firing modes.
Best Warzone 2 TAQ-V loadout
Here is the best Warzone 2 TAQ-V loadout on offer:
- Muzzle: Polarfire-S
- Barrel: 18″ Precision-6 Barrel
- Stock: TV LPX-434
- Rear Grip: FSS Combat Grip
- Underbarrel: Phase-3 Grip
Kicking off with the muzzle, the Polarfire-S is a favourite of ours thanks to the variety of buffs it offers on top of its silencing powers. Yes, you lose a small amount of ADS speed and aiming stability, but that’s offset by the impressive boost in damage range and bullet velocity – something the 18” Precision-6 barrel also provides.
The FSS Combat Grip improves recoil control, once again at the cost of stability, though this is more that made up for with the final two attachments: the TV LPX-434 and the Phase-3 Grip.
At the back end of the TAQ-V, the TV LPX-434 gives back that lost aiming stability and then some, but mobility is once again the tradeoff. The same applies with the Phase-3 Grip, which offers a huge boost to the overall accuracy of the weapon in return for mobility.
In practice, the drop in mobility feels negligible, and if you combo the TAQ-V with one of the best Warzone 2 SMG options available right now, then mobility won’t be an issue anyway.
You may have also noticed the lack of optics in this build, which is due to the fact that the TAQ-V has crystal clear iron sights. However, if you really do need that FSS OLE-V Laser, or VLK 4.0 Optic if you intend to use this primarily at range, then either the rear grip or stock can be sacrificed.
Warzone 2 TAQ-V class setup
Should you opt for a second primary, you’ll have to take the Weapons Specialist perk package. While the other perks in this pack aren’t the most premium of options, Survivor is incredibly useful if you’re not playing solo, while Spotter can be useful for spotting out enemy traps before you fall prey to them.
To round off the build, you’re going to need some equipment. Here we’d recommend the combination of Drill Charges and a Heartbeat Sensor in the lethal and tactical slots respectively. When combined with Spotter, it becomes incredibly easy to clear out buildings as you move across the Warzone 2 map.
And that’s the best Warzone 2 TAQ-V loadout you can get your hands on right now. If the TAQ-V isn’t for you, then be sure to check out some of the other best Warzone 2 battle rifle alternatives.
