Warzone 2 has a delectable selection of battle rifles to choose from, and the best Warzone SO-14 loadout will place you in charge of one of the most potent members of the weapon class. However, it will take some work, so we’ve done all the heavy lifting by preparing the best SO-14 build in Warzone right now.
An incredibly adaptable weapon, this Warzone SO-14 loadout and build can be used in both semi-automatic and fully-automatic firing modes to cover most ranges, though we’d recommend using it as more of a mid-range marksman rifle than anything else. This versatility has let it rise to towards the top of the Warzone meta right now, so you don’t want to miss out on one of the best Warzone guns you can use.
Best Warzone SO-14 loadout
The best Warzone SO-14 loadout is:
- Muzzle: Lockshot KT85
- Barrel: 22″ Boremaster Barrel
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Optic: VLK 4.0 Optic
- Magazine: 50 Round Drum
While this SO-14 build packs a serious punch, it can be a bit of a wild beast to tame. As such, most of this loadout, inspired by data and setups from ‘WarzoneStats.gg‘, focuses on controlling its kick, while bolstering its effective range and damage output.
Starting off strong, the Lockshot KT85 muzzle is great for reducing both horizonal and vertical recoil which is crucial when taking out targets outside of closer ranges. It will, however, hurt aim down sight speed and aiming stability, further solidifying its role as a long range weapon. For tuning, push towards a 0.5 vertical tuning and 0.35 horizontal tuning for the perfect balance.
Digging in a little deeper, the 22” Boremaster Barrel is our next recommended attachment, improving all the stats the best Warzone SO-14 loadout could want. This boosts the SO-14’s bullet velocity and recoil control, and damage range, at the cost of some ADS speed and movement speed. Again, this SO-14 loadout is designed for long-range firefights, so the pros significantly outweigh the cons of this attachment. As for tuning, aim for a 0.2 vertical tuning to aid recoil steadiness, and 0.3 horizontal tuning for increased damage range.
Next, the FTAC Ripper 56 underbarrel, one of the most popular grips, is a great choice here. Most importantly, this improves recoil stabilization, though the aiming idle stability and hip fire accuracy are always welcome. Like the rest of the attachments, this will hinder ADS speed and walking speed, so don’t expect to outmatch an SMG in close-range fights. Long-range is a different story though, as this SO-14 build will now be even more precise. For tuning, go for 0.6 vertical tuning and 0.3 horizonal tuning to improve recoil stabilization and aiming idle stability respectively.
On that note, as more of a marksman build, we would recommend the VLK 4.0 Optic. It provides the least aggressive magnification, making it slightly more versatile than its more sniper scope-esque counterparts. There’s lots of optics to choose from though, so you can always swap this scope for another one if you’d rather.
Last but not least, slap on the 50 Round Drum magazine to ensure you have plenty of ammo to clear out a squad, and you’re good to go. Yes, you will take a hit to speed and mobility as a result, but the running around should be saved for your secondary weapon, which we’ll now discuss in the class setup. However, if you don’t feel the need for an increased ammo capacity, then the 7.62 High Velocity ammunition is a great alternative attachment, increasing velocity at the cost of range.
Content creator ‘EyeQew’ uses a similar Warzone SO-14 build, which you can see below along with gameplay of it being used:
Once you’re all setup with the build above, you’ll have a devastating Warzone 2 SO-14 loadout to dominate long-range engagements in the current meta.
Warzone SO-14 class setup
We feel the SO-14 performs best when paired with one of the best Warzone SMG options available – be it the best Warzone Lachmann Sub loadout, Warzone FSS Hurricane loadout, or Warzone ISO 45 loadout. The SO-14 loadout we’ve showcased above is not built for running and gunning, so definitely opt for something that can help you in those tighter areas of the map. Luckily, there’s plenty of options at your disposal.
When it comes to perk, we recommend Overkill, High Alert, Fast Hands, and Double Time. Overkill is more or less necessary, as will be be required to carry two primary weapons. On the other hand, High Alert gives us warnings when enemies have us in their sights, always keeping us informed. Our last two perks, Fast Hands and Double Time, are perfect for making up for the drawbacks of our attachments, giving us greater mobility.
As usually in the current meta, a Drill Charge is a great choice for lethal equipment. With this, we can force enemies out of cover or outright eliminate them. Meanwhile, Smoke Grenade will give us an escape route or opportunity to push whenever we need it.
And that’s the best Warzone SO-14 loadout you can make right now in one of the best battle royale games. If you’re looking for a more versatile option, then the Warzone Tempus Razorback loadout is a great choice as well.
