A brand new 40 player mode where you scrap to complete objectives

Activision Blizzard has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s new Fireteam: Dirty Bomb mode will be playable during the beta this weekend, across two new multiplayer maps. Fireteam is a 40 player elimination mode that pits ten Fireteams of four against each other in a fight for total battlefield supremacy.

In Fireteam, 40 players will be split into ten small teams consisting of four players, who must complete their objectives to win the game.  The official trailer showcases one of the two maps that will be available this weekend., where players aim to deposit uranium in explosive devices. Each map has vehicles for players to drive and shoot from, like bikes, SUVs, and even choppers with miniguns.

The new CoD’s beta test follows the Cold War multiplayer alpha that happened not all that long ago on PlayStation 4, but will be rolled out to all platforms during the beta. The final game will feature a whole host of ways to shoot things, including zombies, and a whole host of other multiplayer modes.
